I was worried it would be cheesy, but it wasn't at all. I loved it. That may be my favorite episode ever. They definitely redeemed themselves after last season. And no cliffhanger for us to panic about all summer :worship:

Yes, I worried about it being forced & cheesy and out of character for J.J. to suddenly want to get married. But, they even fit in how he's been asking her all this time. So it all fit. :thumbsup2

The writers did a really good job with it. So did the actors.

And I absolutely love Rossi :lovestruc

I couldn't get a strong enough signal in my hotel room to get online during the show! I was texting my husband exclamation points through the whole thing because of how intense the episode was...and he doesn't watch!

Great episode. just awesome!

:lmao: Glad you finally made it, and that you had someone to share it with. Your exclamation point button must be broken by now.

It really was an intense episode! I don't think any TV show has ever had me on the edge of my seat like that.

So no one is going to mention the hook up between Rossi and Strauss???

I agree with everyone else that this was a great, edge of our seats episode. The only thing I would like to have changed was that JJ get into the house before Izzy had the chance to tell poor Henry the story about her awful grandfather. :scared1:

Two good points. When I saw Strauss coming out of the hotel, I thought maybe she had "gone off the wagon" and Rossi was trying to get her back into rehab, but it didn't seem that way when she thanked Morgan. Which by the way, I'm not sure how I feel about that scene.
And I was horrified when Izzy started to tell Henry the story. Someone on here mentioned if the kid will need therapy after seeing Mommy kissing/marrying fake Daddy. I'm wondering if he will because of that scene. Weirdo lady holds him & starts to tell him about her bad grandfather.
I wonder how much of this episode he was actually on set for. I've got to think most of it he wasn't on set & then they film him in different scenerios and put it together.

Rossi.... I have to admit, I am a diehard Gideon fan(truth be told I love almost all of Mandy stuff), so when Rossi's character came on I was very reluctant, but I LOVE the character they are having him become. The Italian feast, and now this. It makes sense to me that HE would be the one who could seperate it all.

I am SO happy the didn't kill off Will. But, weren't we told someone would die? Did I miss it? Who died?:confused3

We were told that "one of the agents will be gone." It was very misleading. It sounded like someone was dying, but they were just talking about Prentiss.

And I agree with what you said about Rossi. I didn't like him at first, but he's really grown on me. He's had some amazing scenes this season that just made me love the character. The "cooking with Rossi" scene earlier in the season is one of my favorite CM scenes ever.

I still don't think I can talk about it because the idea of Rossi & Strauss together makes me want to hurl all over my keyboard.

A part of me thinks this is a red herring for next season. For one thing, people in AA, just in recovery, are NOT supposed to get into relationships the first year. I don't think Rossi would derail that. Maybe he was taking her to an AA meeting to support her and to be sure she'd go?

But, do they have AA meetings at hotels? I thought they have them at churches and cheap places where they can rent the meeting rooms. Hmm, maybe AA meetings for agents & police are different. That they are subsidized and more private as they need a private, safe space where they can be able to freely discuss stuff that only agents & cops should know about, and know it won't leave that room. I remember that episode where Reid had to attend a meeting was also in a kind of ritzy place. :scratchin

Also, her talking to Morgan & thanking him for calling her out on her stuff is one of the steps about making amends.

That scene with Izzy talking to Henry also creeped me out. You could tell by his eyes that a he was having a first reaction to lot of that stuff she was doing and saying.

But, AJ Cook is Henry's mom in real life. She's not some stage mom coming onto the set for the first time and then shoved in a corner while they work with Henry. I would think she went over and over with him how they are going to do all this pretend stuff with the actress playing Izzy, who he has met off set and is a nice person in real life, but is going to pretend to scare him.

I think also, that AJ let him see some of the stage combat rehearsals with her & Izzy, where they are laughing and joking and stopping a lot while pretend fighting, the way he might play wrestle a friend on the playground, so that he knows those scenes that look so real to us are just fake.

I love Rossi. Joe Mantegna's wife in real life, actually owns an Italian restaurant called, The Taste of Chicago, in Burbank, CA. One of the specialties is Italian Beef. according to his Twitter feed, Jay Leno & other celebs have eaten there. So, I think the writers are purposely getting in more of him cooking and hosting the wedding was perfect. Of course, Rossi has had 3 of his own weddings, so he's a pro at them. :lmao:

Will Emily have her own spin off? I know Forrest Whitakers Criminal Minds didn't work. But it would be interesting to see Padget take a shot at it. Especially now that CSI: Maimi gone.

No, after the studio execs fired her last season and she went to film a pilot for a comedy, I think she has artistically & mentally moved on from CM. She wants to do something else. . . unless she doesn't get another show, then she will be making a lot of guest appearances through her new job a Interpol. :rolleyes1

The actress, Jorja Fox, from CSi, was fired from that show. Brought back after fans protested. Stayed for a while, then voluntarily wanted to leave the show. Which she did for a year or so. Then wanted to come back. Which she did. So with Paget/Prentiss, anything's possible. :confused3

Nope. Part of the reason why she's leaving is so she can do more comedy roles.

They won't do another CM spin-off. Suspect Behavior was a disaster. It only lasted half a season :rotfl:

We posted at the same time :rotfl: She did say she's open to guest starring in the future so we might see her again :)

Well PB does have great comedic timing. The Two And A Half Men episode she did years ago still cracks me up.

Paget is going to be voicing an animated show on Fox called "Working Class Heroes." She will be the voice of the wife (Karen??)

I have to disagree with many posters here - I hope they do bring someone else onto the team. But not someone like Prentiss. A truly different character - like how different Rossi is from Gideon. Otherwise, the team is too small without enough diverse skills.

I'd also like to see someone take over JJ's old job - someone other than Strauss needs to handle the press, hand-hold the family. I liked the woman they brought in when JJ was on maternity leave - a very different character, not just another blonde.

And I do hope that they finally get Garcia & Kevin back together again!

I have wondered why Hotch didn't just give over the PR stuff to someone else in the office. Heck, they could even give it to Anderson. We don't have to see that person every week, just once in a while, like the way Strauss comes & goes.

With Hotch having a personal life again, you'd think he'd want to delegate duties to someone else. He got both J.J. & Prentiss back, so why hang onto the PR job? It is always strange to me that sometimes Hotch is supposed to be the head of the whole BAU, meaning everyone down in that bull pen, and can bark orders to someone like Anderson. Then other times, he seems to only be in charge of the 7 of them. :confused3

I liked Jordan, too. I think that was her name? If they do like they did with Rossi, they will wait a few episodes before bringing in a new team member. Of course, they didn't have much control over that, as Mandy walked off the show and they had to work episodes without him. But, it gave the audience a transition period.

Yeah we need to see Anderson more ;) :rotfl:

I liked Jordan. She couldn't handle the job though.

If they replace Prentiss I hope they actually develop the character. We don't need another person who stands in the background and asks stupid questions. Not that I'm talking about anyone in particular :rolleyes1
