Craziest tip to get pregnant

Ohhh congratulations! Funny how it happened that way. The fertility doctor called me at home the next day to say he "had the magic touch.":rotfl: Think of ALL the $ we saved.

Thanks!!! We are hoping that this one sticks!

Some of these things are funny and even funnier that some worked.

My second pregnancy came 4 years after my first never using BC after we had given up on the idea

I'm now 34 yrs old--- dh and I haven't used birth control in 10 years. Went through every test under the sun, insemination, injectable drugs....the whole nine yards. Never did get pregnant w/ a second child and there was no cause that could be found for our infertility.

I do tell him from time to time now though, we might think of being careful...he laughs. Seriously though I'm going to show him this thread. DS is alomst 17 and while there was a long time we wanted more kids....the ship has sailed. He thinks it never did happen so it won't--- though there was no medical reason and it's not like we're technically too old or anything. :scared1:

Try an ovulation kit.

We did this 10 years ago, when trying to get pregnant with DS9. All the kits had 5 tests in them; and I bought 2 kits. Right after my period I started using them, on a Monday. Nothing for 6 days. Then on Sunday it was pink; on Monday it was REALLY pink, and on Tuesday it was pale pink again; and Wednesday nothing. We did the deed on Sunday and Tuesday; and both times I put two pillows under my butt for 15 minutes.

And two weeks later my period didn't start. A store pregnancy test was positive; and I saw my OB a week later. Success!

I used the store brand (Long's). They were $15 each - a lot cheaper than other ones on the shelf!

OK-y'all may laugh, but we did get a baby boy (already had our 2 lovely girls..) after trying a combination of many things posters listed. One of my friends told me that it has worked for everyone she suggested it to that was interested in trying for a boy...
First, we "abstained" for 2 weeks before the big ovulation day(the most difficult part...)-then we ONLY did it on the day I ovulated; (waited several days to resume afterwards). I substituted baking soda & water in a certain "cleaning item" beforehand (had to do w/ the ph environment thing); then we used the pillows underneath trick. The way I saw it, we were just showing God how much we really were hoping to have a boy--it would of course be up to Him in the end....

It was an exciting day in that delivery room when doc announced, "it's a boy!!!!"

All my friends are telling me that I will get pregnant when it's the most inconvenient time. I took this term off of school and I am starting an intensive writing program in January, so if that's true I will have morning sickness during finals! LOL

 We used a diaphragm for the first 2 years of our marriage and never used any birth control after that. In fact, I had 2 surgeries and various fertility treatments to no avail. I had my miracle baby at age 30 and it was more than I ever hoped for. I got pregnant once about 4 years later, but miscarried. Another 3 years went by and no babies. So we gave up. I was 38 and I just didn't want to go through the hassle (again!) of fertility treatments. We decided to start the adoption process after the Christmas holidays.

I was 7 weeks pregnant on Christmas. :yay:

Well,it gets even better. Two years later, at age 40, i got pregnant again! Like once I got going I couldn't stop! My last child was born with severe disabilities (*not related to age, however) and our lives were turned upside down. I really wanted to have one more baby, but DH just couldn't face the fear that it might happen again. He decided to have a vasectomy. I was pretty upset, but in the end it was the right thing to do. I never thought in a million years that after 15 years of infertility we'd have to put a surgical stop to our "dilemma.":goodvibes
