I have always been skeptical about the washing of the colored blankets (and don't get me started on the disgusting pillow-I'm on Team Hide it in the Closet). However, on our EBPC cruise in October, I was aware on at least one, maybe 2 occasions when I saw plastic bags full of them in the hallways, leading me to believe these were either clean or dirty and being swapped out. I also believe the duvet covers are definitely cleaned between guests. It seems to me that's the point of switching to the duvet from the old spreads. They always look crisp and fresh. I noticed ours was always changed after any little mark appeared.
If you watch on debarkation day, the room stewards are stripping everything on the bed out of the room and bagging it. Can't say I noticed whether the colored blankets or pillowed we part of that swap out, but I do believe everything used to sleep on the bed is changed between cruises. I know that on longer cruises, like when we did the 14-day transatlantic and 15-day Panama Canal, our room was stripped and completely changed out at least once.
