Coverlets on Wonder beds

I have always been skeptical about the washing of the colored blankets (and don't get me started on the disgusting pillow-I'm on Team Hide it in the Closet). However, on our EBPC cruise in October, I was aware on at least one, maybe 2 occasions when I saw plastic bags full of them in the hallways, leading me to believe these were either clean or dirty and being swapped out. I also believe the duvet covers are definitely cleaned between guests. It seems to me that's the point of switching to the duvet from the old spreads. They always look crisp and fresh. I noticed ours was always changed after any little mark appeared.

If you watch on debarkation day, the room stewards are stripping everything on the bed out of the room and bagging it. Can't say I noticed whether the colored blankets or pillowed we part of that swap out, but I do believe everything used to sleep on the bed is changed between cruises. I know that on longer cruises, like when we did the 14-day transatlantic and 15-day Panama Canal, our room was stripped and completely changed out at least once.

As for the pillows...I bring a pillow protector and have the host put it on the pillow and a CLEAN pillow case. I never thought that they didn't change out the coverlet at the end of the bed. I use it to nap...I'll make sure that is switched out it before using.

And to add...why do people come into a thread and add nothing other than to attack a poster/post. really?
When you say "I bring a pillow protector and have the host put it on the pillow and a CLEAN pillow case", do you mean when you meet your cabin steward you hand them the pillow protectors and ask them to put them on the pillows along with new "CLEAN" pillow cases?

Yes. I have the host put it on is because I want them to know it's my protector on that pillow and it will have a fresh pillow case. I also put that pillow in the closet the next morning.

I know that when we have been on longer cruises we have seen the coloured bed throws/runners in bags in the hallways ready for collection by other CM's to take away (but can only presume these went to the laundry). Having seen into staterooms while they are being stripped down, the sheets, pillowcases & duvet covers were definitely removed, but can't comment if the actual duvets and pillows were changed out, too.

Last year on our 12 night Baltic cruise, our red pillow and bed runner were missing one day after initial room make-up and were not returned until turndown service the next day. This occurred midway through the cruise.

Do you watch them change the pillow case for a clean one, incase they try to use the old one again?
I HAVE to ask, why do you put the pillow in the closet the next morning?
