I'm back! I hope everyone is doing amazing and wonderful. All the PJs look great and things are moving right along.
Well let's see.... A decent amount of things have happened since being on here last. A bunch of you suggested I try out impressions for our invites. Great idea and they have the MOST amazing personalized invites. But unfortunately they are just too expensive.

I can't even see asking my dad (who is amazing, kind, and generous enough to be paying for the wedding) to spend around $700 for invitations. He probably would but I wouldn't even ask. With that said they do have some cheaper options which are somewhat customizable and that is something we are looking into. I will be honest, I may just make my own on Vistaprint and call it a day...or use lcipaper.com. There are a lot of options and we still have tons of time.
Speaking of Vistaprint, I did make our informative little brochures using vistaprint and they came out amazing...We will be sending these along with the Save-The-Dates that I am making (not as easy as some of you make it look- kudos to you guys) the finished products should arrive at our house today and I have a picture of the proof (no pics of the Save-The-Dates yet).
I am totally happy with these...they go along with the theme, and although they are not the colors we will use in the wedding they do have the fairy tale element and I added lots of pictures from Disney and of B and me so it is personalized. 100 of these cost $40, but it's about $2.00 for every picture you add, plus you have to pay shipping. Sometimes Vistaprint will offer free shipping though. Overall, we paid under $100 for 100 of these brochures. And I am OK with that since they are providing our guests with so much information.
I think I decided on our wedding colors but you know I could always change my mind. Here's what I am thinking- it's not exact but they are the general colors I would like:
Navy and/or dark blues with Burgundy and/or seep purples or wines:
This is my inspiration:
This too reminds me of The Little Mermaid but I am not sure about the green seats:
What do you think?
On a more depressing note, my engagement ring has has some troubles and of everything going on this has stressed me out the most. It's just a ring but I have cried and cried about it.
When I first received my e-ring it was very crooked-the diamond and the prongs were not centered on the ring, and it was very obvious. Also, the diamond and prongs were only held together by this tiny little line of metal, it looked very odd. This is hard to explain without being seen but trust me it was not what you want to see when your sweet future-hubby spent so much time picking out what he wanted and it comes in and looks like they just "threw something together". FYI, the ring was shown to my DF in a picture and then made and my DF picked it up so he probably didn't know it was crooked or how it would look in person. But no big deal, it could be fixed. Side note- I know to some I sound like an evil bridezilla who is ungrateful and I reeeeally don't want to sound that way. I love my fiance` and I love that he went to find the ring on his own, and the he even proposed, but the jeweler did not do a good job and he honestly made something that should be gorgeous look cheap and messy... or at least whoever did the workmanship did.
Anyway....So the DF and I went to the jeweler he bought the ring from and explained that it was crooked and we'd prefer to have the diamond raised up a little since that weird piece of metal kind of made things look strange. Plus it needed to be sized. When we got the ring back it was still odd looking, most of it very beautiful but still a bit "unfinished" and...well... "cheap" looking...The jeweler even agreed that the ring looked unfinished and that it needed something else. There was a big piece of metal in the middle now instead of a tiny little "bridge" of metal. And on top of that you could see gold-ish solder (sounds like sauder) marks on the sides of the metal from where the work had been done- they discolored the ring-it looked burned. I had a hard time even saying anything to my fiance b/c I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I knew he spent a lot of time and money and this jeweler was not taking his time to make the design right. I debated on keeping my mouth shut but I am kind of outspoken and a pain in the butt so I couldn't and I took it back to the jeweler. I left the ring again to have the solder marks covered, to be sized more b/c it was still too big and, and to have some tiny little diamonds put on the outsides (as the jeweler suggested) kind of like the Verragio rings you see:
Here was my ring when it was raised up without the diamonds-the metal in the middle is where the diamonds were going:
When I got it back I was even more disappointed than before...the workmanship was garbage. It was as if they didn't even check over their work. They erased all of the engraving from the bottom of the ring when they sized it, the diamonds look like they were glued on, and one of them was crooked, and the soldering marks were still visible. I wanted to cry. I couldn't believe they even gave it back like that. The jeweler suggested that I pick out another ring, free of charge (that's pretty nice) but I am torn b/c I love my DF and I am attached to this ring- but it is kind of a mess. I should have just left it alone in the first place and now I feel like an evil monster fiance.

Anyone have any suggestions? I just don't know what to do. There are other rings and my fiance is OK with me getting a new one but I feel so bad and I love my ring b/c of the fact that my honey picked it out...but it just looks so silly now

Uhhh....I am annoyed with myself and this situation. I don't want to hurt anyone and I don't know what to do. HELP!!!
To not end on a sad note here is a pic of the dress I have purchased for the rehearsal dinner:

Love it! Can't wait to wear it.
Thanks for reading my exceptionally long post. I hope you all have a great and wonderful day!
