Question about something in the newsletter----I have been separating the "soon to expire" coupons and clipping them in the front of the stack I send. Is that okay, or should I remove them completely from the envie?

If you want to include some soon to expire coupons, that's fine. (They should have at least 7-10 days to expiration and be only a small number compared to those with much longer expirations.) It's extremely conscientious to clip them together and separate them from the rest of the stack and I'll bet your train buddy appreciates how you do that for her.

Did anyone else get the extra coupon insert in today's paper? It was called Moments or Sharing Moments or something like that? It was mainly for things like chips, drinks, and soda but it was a pleasant surprise since most of the time I'm lucky to get the inserts that are supposed to be in there!

About today's Red Plum? Mine was chock full of coupons.

"Moments to Save" came in the St. Paul paper but not in the Minneapolis paper which doesn't make one bit of sense to me. My RP insert was very good today but only came in the Mpls. paper and not St. Paul! I wish I knew how their marketing departments figure out which cities get what inserts. I usually like the coupons in the Minneapolis paper much better than in the St. Paul paper because there are more of them and better quality. Basically all that divides Minneapolis from St. Paul (the Twin Cities) is air. The people can't be that different nor can their spending habits.

Oh I have to share my good deal I got last night at CVS....

CVS has Tide Powder Detergent on sale for $5.99 (its usually around $10 a box) with $1 ECB back, I was able to use my $3 coupon for Tide detergent making each box only $2.99

So of course, having 4-$3 coupons I got 4 boxes for a total of $11.96 and used $5.77 in ECBs which gave me a grand total of $6.19 and a grand savings of $37.77. That means each box only cost me $1.55 YAY!

Other savings from last week include:

Walgreens $34.02

Of course there were no coupons last week anyway and this envie will be small since there was only one insert in my paper yesterday. At least there a few you can probably use!
