Just wanted to say hello and A BIG THANK YOU! All the coupons are such a big help!! We have a family staying with us that was evacuated from yokota that also appreciates them! And the coupon bin at the commissary is staying stocked! I need the link for the forum again to tell the other ladies thank you as well. I got a flat rate box full of coupons from a lady from Connecticut with a very nice card inside. I can't thank you enough! Ellie says hello Miss Jen, are you typing to Miss Sarah too? LOL. Ok, gotta finish getting these kids ready for school. Hope all is well :)

I have a question, is she someone who can except expired coupons to use on base? If so would you mind sharing her address? I just threw a number away, but have a batch that's about to expire that they might be able to use.

I'm a little bummed. My local grocery has been running "double-double" coupons on Saturday so I have been waiting to shop there on Saturday. They normally allow you to use 5 coupons on a $25 order (AFTER coupons) on Wednesdays but they doubled that to 10 coupons on Saturday. I thought it was though the end of the month but I was wrong. So ... I did all my shopping and had 10 coupons (8 $1 coupons :cool1:) and when I checked out they told me that I could only double 5 of them. Bummer. I felt like a jerk but I had them take 2 expensive yogurts off the bill (they were Oikos Greek yogurts @ $2.39 per 5 oz cup but were reasonably priced with the $1x2 savings). I ended up with about $20 in coupon savings anyway.

You'll find it posted by colusapj on p. 135 message #2017. :) (I've got to remember to post it again in the May newsletter which I'm close to getting out to everyone.)

This is Roundy's you're talking about, right? We have Roundy's up here in MN too and unless your stores are run differently than ours, the double double days only happen once every few weeks or months. We had one double double day the day before Easter and I loved it since I had to buy a lot for Easter dinner. Are you sure they require $25 purchase AFTER coupons? Up here it's $25 BEFORE coupons. :goodvibes

That is so great there are so many riders! I am very happy to have gotten onboard before the platform had to close for a bit!!!

I wanted to let Loriabil know her envie will be on the way tomorrow, and it's a good one!

Also wanted to share a good savings bill yesterday at Safeway! I ended up spending $136.99 for 6 full totes full of groceries (which includes two large roasts and some hamburger) and saved $90.22!! With coupons I saved over $30 just that way! Yay!

I'm also starting to shop at Rite Aid. I was a long time employee of Longs Drugs and would NEVER even THINK of shopping at another drug store! But now we're CVS/Pharmacy and things have changed! Ha....so I'm going to start saving at Rite Aid as well! I had my list all set and coupons ready to go...then I realized the sales ended yesterday..... :headache:

Hope all is well with everyone and everyone is safe and sound!

Jen

The inserts really vary from region to region of the country. My Red Plum was full of good manufacturers coupons today. Sounds like your area got a dud though.

SHORTSTUFF7429 I will be sending your envie first thing in the morning.

Question about something in the newsletter----I have been separating the "soon to expire" coupons and clipping them in the front of the stack I send. Is that okay, or should I remove them completely from the envie?

I need someone to give me the Cliff's Notes version of shopping at Rite Aid. Are the UP rewards similar to CVS bucks? And what is up with watching videos?

I usually hate Red Plum inserts, but this week ours was decent.

Momejay!

Huge envie on the way to ya!!

Did anyone else get the extra coupon insert in today's paper? It was called Moments or Sharing Moments or something like that? It was mainly for things like chips, drinks, and soda but it was a pleasant surprise since most of the time I'm lucky to get the inserts that are supposed to be in there!

About today's Red Plum? Mine was chock full of coupons.
