Anyone know of a source for a counted cross stitch design of the Magic -- or anything similar DCL-themed?

Have you checked ebay? (Or, just 'google' Disney Magic counted cross-stitch.) I used to do a lot of counted cross-stitch.

You can find many cross stitch kits at the theme parks and downtown disney. I was at the Magic Kingdom 2 weeks ago and they had 6 different kits. Didn't see any kits with the ships. The kits I saw ran about $45. Most of the kits are from disney originals - The Norman Rockwell of Mickey painting Walt Disney, Mickey and Minnie wedding, and Mickey with Firefighters. These kits are sold exclusively at disney property and can't be purchased any other place. Once you see these kits you'll want to do them all. I've done a few of these kits and try to stay away from the Pooh and Princess cross stitch that has been licensed. There beautiful! I wish they'd sell them on the ships.

I am an avid X-stitcher. I x-stitched the princesses and Minnie and had them autographed for our cruise in May. If you have a picture of the Magic, (I have the one that is stock from Shutters--it is excellent) you can send it to Herrsherners and they will create a graph for you listing thread colors, etc. I have used them in the past for photos. If you have the picture from shutters, be sure to google shutters and get a copyright release. It is good for a month and you should be ok for getting it done. Hope this helps. We took our pictures from the cruise and had them made into a calendar.

The website for Herrschners is www.herrschners.com Their customer service # is 800 713 1239 They can send you a catalog or you can look at them online. I didn't see the info about the photo on line, but they can help you. The info is usually written on the inside where the envelope to mail it is.

Also. I haven't seen anything on the magic, but check out the section on the boards on creativity. It's toward the bottom of the disboards homepage. Lots of neat ideas there.
