Couldn't have picked a better Poly room

We (family of 5) just got back from the Polynesian. i had used the trip as a surprise for my wife and youngest daughter, they thought we were staying at Port orleans.

My oldest two daughters and I had been on these boards every day, checked out the "Poly" site many times and couldn't agree on any particular longhouse/room. So we decided to let fate lead the way. Were we blessed!
We stayed in Tokelau 3915. Huge room, with a balcony and.... we could easily see the castle from the balcony! granted the "front view" was not of the castle, (more like a view of the CR), but the left side of the balcony directly faces the castle. I can't imagine a better view from a "garden view" room!

As far as cleanliness, our rooms were cleaned by 1:00pm everyday, never a want for towels (including elephants and squids - towel animals). My daughters loved the pool, my wife and I loved the hammocks, and we all loved the grounds, and the ease for transportation!

I want to thank everyone on these boards for the help and advice we got before our trip!

I'm so glad you had such a great time. I'm the only one that knows we're going to be staying at the Poly for Christmas it will be our first time staying there.....so I hope we're as lucky as you w/room assignments

Ditto here...going for our first visit to the Poly in Sept/Oct. My DD8 has always wanted to stay there so maybe we'll luck out with a great room (and hopefully a balcony) as well! Glad you had such a wonderful trip!

thanks for posting this!! We are stying there for one night in September for my son's b-day. We are just doing a Garden View and I was wondering what rooms would be a good ones to ask for. THANKS! Oh and yeah any pictures?? Would love to see them.

How awesome! I bet your DW was really surprised. I'm so glad it worked out like that.

I'm going to request Tokelau for our trip next June and was wanting to see the castle if possible. I'll try to request that room.

We've stayed and the Contemporary, Shades of Green, All Star Music family suites and CBR. I have always wanted to stay at the Poly and having read so much negitive on these boards it has me worried. I have already requested non-smoking room and quiet location. Another request would be #3 and I think break the camels back! Best Wishes, Cindy

you don't need to request a non-smoking room, all of WDW resorts are non-smoking.

I would love to post pics, I just don't know how to get them on here (I guess I may not have enough posts). I do have about half a dozen from the balcony that show the view. I have e-mailed them to the "other" site (I actually was fortunate enough to meet the person who has that site while I was there- and thank him for all his info!)and I think he may put them on there to show the view. If anyone knows how to put them on here, or if you want to pm me I will send them that way.
