So sorry....I know I asked this question before, and somehow I misplaced the paper I wrote it down on, or even possibly it got thrown away...

Thanks so much...

I highly recommend Lansky. While they are a little more expensive, their service is totally worth it. They will do a grocery stop, meet you at baggage claim, their drivers are courteous, their vehicles are clean. They will provide a booster seat for your grandson, just tell them you need one.

We used Annaheim Car Service by JAG in 2019. They were AWESOME! We used them round trip and couldn't have been happier. We quoted them again for our trip last week but they didn't have availability.

We booked through Executive Car Service LAX and received really quick confirmation on our first ride (from SNA to Grand Californian). The driver texted us the day before with his number and he was there when we arrived with my name flashing in his window. He was friendly and professional and terrific. The experience could not have been more perfect! The return trip, however, left much to be desired. I had to email them several times during our trip to ensure they had actually booked someone (we never received confirmation for this leg of the trip) and they finally replied that a driver had been assigned. But the morning we were to be picked up nobody came. I called the driver's number they'd provided me and it was very difficult to understand him, the number was from New York and it seemed that after they hung up on me to check things out, they hired an Uber to come and get us when they realized nobody was on their way. They told me that the driver had already been paid and to call when we arrived at the airport to pay them. The driver was very professional and nice and we tipped well because he'd clearly been called in at the last minute. I forgot about calling them so later they started calling me and texting me and because I was in an airport I didn't want to give my credit card number over the phone and I ended up having to text them my CC information, which felt really, really wrong! I did email Excecutive Car Service LAX about my experience and they said that sometimes due to overbooking they use outside services (i.e. someone in NYC who books Ubers but not reliably...) and offered to refund my entire ride and gave a coupon code for $50 off my next ride (which I will probably not ever use). I appreciate that very much and am glad they went above and beyond to make it right. But the whole point of ordering a car service was so that I didn't have to worry about finding an Uber or Lyft, surge pricing, etc. In the end, we took an Uber and that person didn't get paid as much as they could/should have. I had to call to find out where our ride was (the oppositve of car service!) and they clearly had no idea that nobody was there to pick us up. I know that things go wrong sometimes but I hope that this outside service they're using has been charged back for this error - they must have said they could handle the job and they did not.

SO - my point is to try Annaheim Car Service by JAG. But I'd steer clear of Executive Car Service LAX, though they get really good reviews on Google. Hopefully our arrival experience is typical and our departure exeperience is the exception.

I'll be using Lansky on Tuesday for our trip from LAX to DLH. If it is half as good as the many reviews I have seen on multiple threads then it will be well worth the money. I will try and post an update on Tuesday once we get settled into the hotel.

We have booked Lansky for this week as well based on many comments on Disboards. Very responsive during the booking process. Hope the ride itself goes as smoothly!

I had a terrible experience with Execucar and won’t use them again.

I just recently had a bad experience with Lansky and it’s still bugging me. We have used Lansky in the past several times and have been very satisfied with them except for my last trip September 19 from LAX.
I was travelling by myself and expected to be met in Baggage claim with a baggage cart as usual. When I was surprised not to see anyone and I was just wondering what to do, I received a phone call.
Apparently, he was "unable to park in the parking garage because it was closed" and I was to meet him at the curb. It was very confusing and caused me some worry but after lugging my bags out to the curb, he finally arrived 15 minutes later. I think he just wanted to avoid paying parking fees.
If I'd had the kids and much more luggage, I don't know how I would have managed.
I was also annoyed when we arrived at the hotel and he asked me for his tip.

We had a great experience with Lansky yesterday. We arrived at about 11:45am and when we got down to our luggage carousel our driver, John, was waiting there with a cart. He insisted on taking my carry-on and as we pulled the bags off the conveyor he loaded them up and then led the way out to the parking lot where he had the van waiting for us. His driving was safe and efficient the entire way. We stopped at a Stater Brothers grocery store and when he saw us coming out he jumped out of the van and loaded everything for us as we got in. Upon arrival at DLH he unloaded everything while we grabbed bell services to load out stuff on a cart since we didn't know if our room was ready or not.

Overall I'd give our experience a 10/10 and will definitely use them the next time we come out here as it was cheaper than a rental and without the headaches of waiting in line for a shuttle to the rental car lot.

We are using Lansky on Sunday for our return trip and I will post an update on that experience once it is done.

Ok, so we have never done a car service before we have always rented a car, but are looking into it for next trip that we are planning. What is the typical amount you would tip the driver (or range I guess based on service)? Is it different if you are using a car service (like Lansky) vs shuttle service (like Super Shuttle Express or Karmel Shuttle)?

We’ve used Lansky in previous years and just used them for our trip last week. Pickup and drop off were both perfect. Our flight arrived nearly an hour early but our driver must have been tracking it because he was there at baggage claim waiting for us! Funny enough, our pickup driver was early too. Our family decided to wait at the Grand Californian taxi pick up area an hour early b/c we were just ready to go. Our driver showed up 15 mins later, surprised to see us. He said he usually arrives early to not have the guests wait but this was the first time we were even earlier. Both drivers were so nice, took care of our bags even though my husband wanted to help b/c our bags were heavy. They also had clean, perfectly installed and new looking car seats for my little ones. We tipped $40/driver since there’s 4 of us… I really can’t keep up with tip etiquette and live in terror of under tipping 😂
