"coteau_chick"We do believe in "George"

Hey there! I'm caught up! Grace is just absolutely adorable! I love her outfits! You are very talented! The only thing is that she needs is some LSU colors on! ;)

Okay I totally just read thorugh the entire thing to get all caught up. I did this at the risk of neglecting the housework so when He (DH) gets mad at me I am sending him over here and telling him it is your fault. ;)

Okay random comments. I am so happy you got your Savannah view. We were debating about AKL for our next trip, That or the Poly, Or WL. I am terrible about choices.

Courtney is gorgeous but the teen thing scares me silly. My DD is only 6 and sometimes I swear she is 16. Man these kids grow up so fast! Yesterday I kid you not, she asked for Highlights! At Six! I nearly passed out (well that was more from me yelling no, no, no until I couldn't breath anymore.) :sad2:

I am really impressed with how well Grace did on the trip (burning hand issue aside). We didn't take our youngest because he is afraid of people and would have had his head covered up at all times.

Well thats all. Great Trip Report so far!

I'm still here too I've been reading along. Can't wait to hear more about GEORGE!! Pix are great Grace is adorable!!

She has a smocked dress that is made out of purple fabric that has baby tigers on it. It is so cute. She is wearing her dress to a LSU baby shower Saturday in Walker. :thumbsup2

Thanks now hurry and clean your house so Mister Pig doesn't come get me:lmao:
I can't believe she wants highlights:scared1: You will have a long road ahead. Just wait.
I am glad you came over to join us. I am enjoying your trip report too.

]Day 6 February 9th ..... Part 2

When I left you last I was waving like Forest Gump:lmao: After we left Dinoland we stopped to watch some performers dressed like painters. Dh and Brennan watched but Courtney and I got bored and went sit on a bench.

Next we headed over to ride Dinosaur. Dh, Courtney and Brennan went on the ride and I got a baby swap and waited with Grace. I waited sooooooo long I was beginning to worry. The wait time was only supposed to be 15 minutes. Finally DH called me from inside the ride and said they had broken down and that they were waiting to be rescued off the ride. "GEORGE???pirate: " This is funny because Courtney almost didn't ride because she is scared of this ride. She must have been freaking out having to stay in there sooooooo long. They had to wait for a cm to come get them out of the ride. They had to climb out on a ladder and follow a cm with a flashlight. :scared1: They gave them a ticket that would let them walk on when it was fixed.

After that we went eat lunch at the counter service place that has MC Donalds nuggets. I don't remember the name.

After lunch we used our fast passes and dh and the kids rode Everest while I waited with Grace. I had just sat for a few minutes when they came back. I thought the ride had broken but it didn't. The had already rode. They just walked on. Now it was my turn to ride with the kids with my baby swap pass. We also walked on.:thumbsup2 I LOVE this ride.

image081.jpg

DH and the kids rode Kali next with a short wait. I got anothe baby swap pass and waited. The got in line just in time because a very large group of people with matching back packs and flags got in line right after them. I talked to a really nice lady from Florida while I waited. She also had a little baby. Courtney didn't want to ride with me and Brennan when it was my turn. She said that the ride was stupid. She and dh had already thrown away their ponchos (.79 from Academy) but I was mad because they could have given them to someone who would have used it instead of throwing it away:headache: Brennan and I rode with a group of cute little girls. They said that I was going to be the one to get soaked because I had the poncho. They were right. I held my poncho so tight around my head I know if Courtney would have been with me she would have had something to say about it. I had fun. When Brennan and I exited the ride we handed over our ponchos to people waiting in line to use and they were glad:thumbsup2

We went over to get fast passes for Safari. I could have kicked dh bootie because they didn't have any fast passes left and the stand by line was like 70 minutes. I was not about to stand in line holding buda baby for 70 minutes. Brennan was sooooooooooo upset he almost cried.
I told him the line might get shorter after while.

We headed over to conservation station on the train.
We took some character pictures.

For this picture I looked all over for Courtney and was calling out her name but I didn't see her so we took the picture without her. She appeared after we took the picture. She said she saw me looking for her but she hid because she didn't want to take the picture.:headache:

IMG_1047.jpg

Dh took Brennan to the petting zoo while Courtney and I waited in the building with Grace because she was drinking a bottle and was not in a good mood.
IMG_1052.jpg

Brennan really liked this part. Dh said when he was taking this picture he felt a tug at his pants. When he looked down a goat took the map out of his pocket and ran away with it:lmao:

We rode the train back and guess what! It broke down "GEORGE??pirate: " We were stopped for about 10 minutes. Brennan was saying, " I do believe in George":lmao:

We checked the wait time for safari again and now it was 100 minutes. The people with the flags were in line:headache: We didn't get to ride.

We went to Camp Mickey so Brennan could see Donald. This made him a little happy because he loves Donald.

image093.jpg

He was happy when he saw these guys too. He watches their show everyday.

image098.jpg

After this we left the park to go rest before dinner. We had dinner plans with some friends from back home who were there too.

I forgot to mention that we did ride dinosaur before we left that day. We checked and it was fixed so I rode with the kids and then dh went with them.

The last time I was at AK it was not finished. It was not my favorite park, possibly because there was not much to do and possibly because for some odd reason my feet would hurt so bad there. Not sure why. When we were there last, they had just opened the Lion King show I think. Bugs Life was great but I don't recall just how much more was even there then. So I am trying to keep an open mind to get this park on a better rating scale for me.

Try it again you might be surprised. It is my least favorite park though. I sure hope you are planning on writing a trip report when you get back.

Brenann I so dang cute! You're going to have girls calling non stop in a few years!

I think you were being followed by George!:rotfl:

Sorry you didn't get to ride Safari. Later in the day the animals would be sleeping so you didn;t miss much. I love dinosaur too. It scares me but what fun!!!!
Can't wait to read more.

We are going to try it and I am keeping an open mind. EE and the Primal Whirl seem to be calling me. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't know if I will write a trip report or not. I don't know if I have what it takes nor do I think I will have a group of followers really. I had thought about it once as we are doing Platinum Level Package and there does not seem to be very many reviews or trip reports about what all can be done. Also, because there are so many of us going, I figured we would have a lot of food pictures. Hahahaha I am not worried about food waste as we will have 2 teen boys and one preteen boy going.... aka garbage disposals. Besides if George haunts us like he has haunted you... it could be a good read.

I am glad we stayed at AKL because at least we saw alot of animals there. Most importantly giraffes because they are Brennan's favorite.

Brennan is convinced that "GEORGE pirate: " followed us:lmao:

Thanks for the compliment. He is such a sweet boy. I wonder how it is going to be with a teenage boy. I know about girls but not boys.:scared:

Last night we went to a crawfish boil. When we were walking out five LSU football players were walking in:cool1: . We stopped to talk to them. I have never seen any of them up close. We do go to at least one game a year. I can't get over how big they are OMG they were huge. I felt like I was talking to giants. DH was so excited he is a huge fan. He reads a website called dandydon that is all about LSU. He reads that as much as I am on disboards. We had a good night.

Oooh awesome! I can't wait until football season again! Tell your dh to check out www.fightintigahs.com. A friend of mine runs that site and I occasionally post on it too. :thumbsup2

GEAUX TIGERS!

DAY 6 Part 3 Whispering Canyon Cafe

When we left AK we went back to AKL. We took a little nap. I really didn't sleep. Dh fell asleep and when I tried to wake everyone up they were giving me trouble. We left later than I wanted to.

We were meeting up with Neal, Adrienne, and their two children Hale 12years old and Dane 4 years old. Dh is Dane's godfather. We had planned to have dinner together at least one night. They had been hanging around with a big group of people from out town the whole week. We are not big on traveling with a crowd. We like to keep to ourselves so we can do what we want but we did want to do at least one thing with them. They had been there one day longer than us. They had got to Disney World on Sunday. We waited to go on Monday because Dh wanted to watch the Super Bowl.

We met up with them at the boat dock in front of MK. We took the boat to Wilderness Lodge. Dane was soooooooooooo excited to see us and especially Grace. He just loves her. We were late for our ADR by about 15 minutes. When we checked in we asked if they could seat us together because we had made separate ADRs. They said they couldn't and they couldn't even put us at tables next to each other.
The kids were having a good time playing with the lincon logs. We were all having fun catching up on our week. They had been having a blast. This was their first time to go to Disney World. I was really happy to see them.

When they seated us we were seated across the reasturant from each other and were really disappointed. Dh noticed that after they seated us at our table they came and seated a lady and her little boy at the table right next to us. Dh asked the waitress if she could ask the lady to switch with our friends. He explained our situation to her. She talked to the lady for us and the lady switched with Neal and Adrienne.:yay: :yay: How nice of her to be sooooooooo kind. I hope they gave her free desert or something. She said it was no problem and she didn't mind.

I was talking to Adrienne and I didn't notice the waitress was talking to all of us. I thought she was talking to Neal. She said, "Excuse me lady I am talking here." My mouth must have hit the floor. I then realized that this is how they act here because she started fussing at dh next about his cap. I was shocked at first. I am surprised I didn't cry:lmao: . She winked at me. I really started to have fun here. It was fun to see Dane's face. He was scared of her. When she left after taking our drink order Dane came over to our table to play with Grace. Dane is a very active little boy and he doesn't always listen to his parents. He is quite a character. He was getting a little rough with Grace and I could tell she was about to cry. I asked him to leave her alone for a little while so she wouldn't cry and he just kept on playing with her. I said, " I guess I am going to have to call the waitress and tell her what you are doing." I have never seen him respond so fast. He was back in his chair in a flash:lmao: :rotfl2: I wasn't trying to be mean but Grace had been challenging at every table service meal we had. I didn't want her to start crying.

We were enjoying this restaurant. It is funny to ask for ketchup here. If you eat here ask for it. They even had stick horse races for the kids. They had a blast. We all enjoyed this place. We are definitely going back here.:thumbsup2 The food was good too. We all enjoyed the cornbread.

Here is a picture of the stick horse race. It looks like Dane's head is going to hit the man in the butt:lmao:
IMG_1053.jpg

Hale won the race. It was funny to watch because he and Brennan are so competitive sp?. Everything those two boys do together is a competition.
Of course Brennan accused Hale of cheating.:rotfl2: But at least they both beat Dane who is four years old. They should have let him win:lmao:

IMG_1056.jpg

I was sad when we left because it was our last night. Grace was done. She had a little breakdown on the boat and it took me a while to calm her. She was so tired.

UP next our trip home:guilty:

I really wanted to try Whispering Canyon on our last trip but gave up this ADR to go to Spirit of Aloha. Not the smartest choice. I am so going to have to fix that mistake on our next trip.

-Becca-

Last post about day 6

I know I complained about Courtney's attitude on the trip but here is a picture that shows how much fun she was having by the end of the week. She was so happy. We enjoyed her so much. We took this picture when we got back to our room after dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

This is Grace looking at her big sister. Courtney was singing and dancing. Grace adores her.

We had all really enjoyed our vacation. I love my family so much.:lovestruc
