DAY 6 Part 3 Whispering Canyon Cafe
When we left AK we went back to AKL. We took a little nap. I really didn't sleep. Dh fell asleep and when I tried to wake everyone up they were giving me trouble. We left later than I wanted to.
We were meeting up with Neal, Adrienne, and their two children Hale 12years old and Dane 4 years old. Dh is Dane's godfather. We had planned to have dinner together at least one night. They had been hanging around with a big group of people from out town the whole week. We are not big on traveling with a crowd. We like to keep to ourselves so we can do what we want but we did want to do at least one thing with them. They had been there one day longer than us. They had got to Disney World on Sunday. We waited to go on Monday because Dh wanted to watch the Super Bowl.
We met up with them at the boat dock in front of MK. We took the boat to Wilderness Lodge. Dane was soooooooooooo excited to see us and especially Grace. He just loves her. We were late for our ADR by about 15 minutes. When we checked in we asked if they could seat us together because we had made separate ADRs. They said they couldn't and they couldn't even put us at tables next to each other.
The kids were having a good time playing with the lincon logs. We were all having fun catching up on our week. They had been having a blast. This was their first time to go to Disney World. I was really happy to see them.
When they seated us we were seated across the reasturant from each other and were really disappointed. Dh noticed that after they seated us at our table they came and seated a lady and her little boy at the table right next to us. Dh asked the waitress if she could ask the lady to switch with our friends. He explained our situation to her. She talked to the lady for us and the lady switched with Neal and Adrienne.

How nice of her to be sooooooooo kind. I hope they gave her free desert or something. She said it was no problem and she didn't mind.
I was talking to Adrienne and I didn't notice the waitress was talking to all of us. I thought she was talking to Neal. She said, "Excuse me lady I am talking here." My mouth must have hit the floor. I then realized that this is how they act here because she started fussing at dh next about his cap. I was shocked at first. I am surprised I didn't cry

. She winked at me. I really started to have fun here. It was fun to see Dane's face. He was scared of her. When she left after taking our drink order Dane came over to our table to play with Grace. Dane is a very active little boy and he doesn't always listen to his parents. He is quite a character. He was getting a little rough with Grace and I could tell she was about to cry. I asked him to leave her alone for a little while so she wouldn't cry and he just kept on playing with her. I said, " I guess I am going to have to call the waitress and tell her what you are doing." I have never seen him respond so fast. He was back in his chair in a flash

I wasn't trying to be mean but Grace had been challenging at every table service meal we had. I didn't want her to start crying.
We were enjoying this restaurant. It is funny to ask for ketchup here. If you eat here ask for it. They even had stick horse races for the kids. They had a blast. We all enjoyed this place. We are definitely going back here.

The food was good too. We all enjoyed the cornbread.
Here is a picture of the stick horse race. It looks like Dane's head is going to hit the man in the butt
Hale won the race. It was funny to watch because he and Brennan are so competitive sp?. Everything those two boys do together is a competition.
Of course Brennan accused Hale of cheating.

But at least they both beat Dane who is four years old. They should have let him win
I was sad when we left because it was our last night. Grace was done. She had a little breakdown on the boat and it took me a while to calm her. She was so tired.
UP next our trip home
