Costco won't deliver my bottled water!!!

Thank you captainj for letting me and the others know. Also, I am shocked at how you were treated on the phone! I am normally a BJ's customer but was going to use Costco for the water on our trip - now no way! That is absolutely no way to treat your customers and most especially recurring ones!!

you can get a water bottle with a filter at innovapurewater.com. i got mine from them several years ago and use it whenever i travel. the filter is good for 20 gallons of filtered water. very nice people and fast, courteous service.

Since my Costco ordered was cancelled, I ordered with Staples. A tad more expensive but only a few $$. Well worth it! :goodvibes

Hi,
I have ordered water from Costco for all of our trips. I ordered 6 cases of water today and I'll check to see if it is cancelled tomorrow.
Are you a Costco member? I have a Costco Executive membership and I will definitely give them a piece of my mind if they cancel my order.
Is there someone else besides gardengrocer that will deliver, water, wine, beer etc?

We have used WeGoShop.com for our grocery deliveries. Marge is the owner and she's been great! She will shop whatever store you want and charges what the store charges (gives you the receipt). There is a $17 delivery fee for orders up to $50 and no minimum. If you order alcohol you must be present for delivery so she can check your ID.

I called and complained VERY LOUDLY about this policy and they said it was to keep fraud from happening. I am sure there are hundreds of people using stolen credit cards to order bottled water for their Disney vacation. :sad2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Does anyone know what the fee to hold a package is at POP now? I know they were just doing this at the conference hotels but it was rumored on here that it was actually happening at all the hotels. If you are going to have to pay shipping, minimum orders, and a holding fee...it would be much more worth it to just buy water in the parks.

Oh that is cool. I had no idea there was a site out there like that. I will be looking into her. Thanks!

Tnkrbelle565 - there are fees to have things held at the resorts if you ship it to them? I am a new DVC member but no one has mentioned this to me yet? Thanks!

It just started. It was supposed to be just at the Disney hotels that have conferences but I've read reports of people being charged at other hotels. It was a $10 fee. But I figured that Costco water always costs me $7/case so even $17 (price plus fee) for a case is cheaper than park water. But if you have to pay the fee, make a minimum purchase AND pay for delivery....it's really not worth it...especially if you are on the DDP. I just get bottled water with my CS meals, refill the bottles and use Crystal Light Packets (count me in the club of people who hate the taste of WDW water)

DH and I are bringing a couple of empty bottles and he will order bottled water at CS as needed (we refill our bottles w/cups of "clean" water from cs anyway). QUOTE]

We brought our Pur pitcher and filter from home - we had saved the original packaging and it traveled fine.

We had no problem with our Costco water being delivered to the Poly at the end of Aug. What a shame if they are no longer shipping to hotels.

What about Amazon or QvC? Do they ship water?

I would think that if they could monitor which orders were being shipped where, they could also see that my $7.50 bottled water order was not a big screen tv and that the delivery address was to a disney resort and not a motel 6 on i-70.

I actually spoke to the supervisor at Costco and asked her if she realized how much money they would lose with this policy just from the "online community" that I belong to (meaning the Dis, but I didn't want to name drop) and her reply was, "Well I doubt if it is a significant amount, compared to our day to day sales numbers."

After hearing this I was in shock  <------this was the look on my face.

I politely informed her that I would let my fellow online community members know that Costco was not interested in their business and she said, "sounds great, thanks" and hung up! :scared1:

I just thought you should all know how Costco thinks about it's customers.

Are you a Costco member? I think I read on this board that you don't have to be a member to order water from them. If not then I can see why they are not concerned about losing your business. I am surprised that the Costco person responded to you this way, but really, their profit margin on delivering one case of water to Pop Century is nothing.

Anyway I'm sure you will have a great trip! :)

Wow that is something to think about. I might call DVC to find out because I had planned on shipping a few things for my wedding to them but now...Thanks for the info!

I just checked amazon, and there are actually a lot of choices that will ship free if you order at least $25. Put bottled water in search. When that comes up, click on free super saver shipping under shipping options on the left hand side. That will show you only the options that have free shipping.

It really wasn't much cheaper than the other options but maybe a little.

I don't know whether they will ship to a hotel though. If somebody's interested, they could call and ask.

There's another post on the Theme Parks board about this, and there are MANY people coming on to say that they *just* had water delivered from Costco. :confused3

One person is mentioning that you should click on the Business delivery option before ordering; home delivery delivers to homes, business to businesses...seems an interesting idea.

I had not read this on the Dis so if it has already been mentioned, my apologies. I ordered my case of bottled water from Costco on Friday and yesterday I had an e-mail stating that they had canceled my order. I called to ask what the problem was and they told me that they no longer deliver to hotels!!!! :confused3

I checked Staples, Amazon, etc and the best I could find was 24 bottles for $20. Any other brilliant suggestions? We arrive on Saturday.

Turner Drugs will deliver cases of water to you. Delivery is $5.00 flat rate.

Checked my order history this morning and it stated...sent to fulfillment...

How soon were you informed it was cancelled.
I rec'd 2 emails. First one yesterday stating "order received" another this morning stating "sent to fulfillment".
I will keep checking....as we will be at WDW for 15 days and we oour family goes through at least a dozen bottle of water per day.

Gardengrocer has a minium order of $50, plus the delivery fee.

The minimum is $40 plus $12 for 'service' so a total of $52. I emailed them to check on this myself last weekend. Only want 2 cases of water, so we don't meet the required min. and we aren't going to come up with another $20 in groceries to order from them.
