Costco won't deliver my bottled water!!!

Bizarre some people are having their orders cancelled, and others are not. I placed an order on Saturday for a case of water which was successfully delivered yesterday to SSR. I didn't use business delivery - only problem was that it initially didn't recognise the address, but I chose the option to use it as entered.

Maybe I just slipped through the net!

I don't get it how can some people get it and others can't??? I might try it and see what happens. At least for us we will have a car and we can drive to the nearest on and pick them up ourselves.

I actually spoke to the supervisor at Costco and asked her if she realized how much money they would lose with this policy just from the "online community" that I belong to (meaning the Dis, but I didn't want to name drop) and her reply was, "Well I doubt if it is a significant amount, compared to our day to day sales numbers."

After hearing this I was in shock  <------this was the look on my face.

I politely informed her that I would let my fellow online community members know that Costco was not interested in their business and she said, "sounds great, thanks" and hung up! :scared1:

I just thought you should all know how Costco thinks about it's customers.

I would be searching the internet to find a president, CEO or someone at the top of the company to complain to. This isn't acceptable by any means.

Since my Costco ordered was cancelled, I ordered with Staples. A tad more expensive but only a few $$. Well worth it! :goodvibes

Please let us know if you have any problems with Staples delivering or not!!

I am going to post a link to this thread over on the DVC Planning board as there are people over there who have also ordered water from Costco in the past without any problems!

We rent a car for $31 a day out the door, and do our own shopping. Wal-Mart, Costco, and Publix are all pretty close to WDW. That way we get exactly what we want and we can have a meal off-site too.

I was wandering around Target today and in the row where they have rubbermaid water bottles, pitchers, etc. they had a water bottle with a built in filter for right around $10.

I wonder if something with how you format the shipping address that flags the order??:confused3

I see that Sam's Club has water delivery. Has anyone used them previously?

My first order was cancelled so I put a 2nd order in and it now has been shipped!!! Problem is it will not get there until 9/21 so 2 days without water--does not make sense but I will have water for 5 days--the only thing I changed was to drop Resort from the address. Keep trying if your order was cancelled.

How are you getting bottled water past TSA? Just curious :confused3

I didn't LOL. I'm brain dead these days. Our trip last year I don't think we packed bottled water, I can't even remember now (heck I can't even remember what I had for lunch). But previous trips I always carried it on, which I guess was before the changes.

I always said I would never rent a car at WDW, but after renting a car when we went to SW and seeing how EASY it was to rent right there at the airpor, and it was sooo much faster than waiting for the bus to fill up, we'll def. be doing it for future trips!

I just placed an order, and I am a costco executive member..I will keep you updated. We are staying at AsMu arrival 9/24.....:goodvibes

Just received notice that my water was shipped (from Costo). The delivery is addressed to "Beach Club Villas".

they just shipped my water as well, i looked for the address on the resorts page from this website..good luck to everyone!

I would think that if they could monitor which orders were being shipped where, they could also see that my $7.50 bottled water order was not a big screen tv and that the delivery address was to a disney resort and not a motel 6 on i-70.

Gotta agree with the customer service rep. Do you really think the number of cases of water Costco delivers to Disney rooms on a daily basis is even cost-effective for them?

I hope you line/protect that water in your extra suitcase. All you would need to happen is to have your bag get crushed and everyone's suitcase underneath yours gets wet.

I carry it on

But if I didn't, I see no need to line a suitcase. It's not often they actually get crushed flat! At least none I've ever owned! A duffle on the other hand...
But - how is it more cost-effective (i.e. how do you save any money) purchasing individual bottles of water in the airport after security, over just buying them once you get to Walt Disney World?

i said my order shipped, however, it is still in limbo ....being processed i will let you know, but doesn't seem right...

I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if this is a repeat.
We ordered through Costco at the very end of July for delivery to BC. There was a $10 delivery charge from the resort. Plus, we had to tip the guy who brought it to the room. (We could have gone to the place they store it, but it was still $10 and looked like a bit of hike carrying water). It was still a little less expensive than water at the parks, but not much. especially considering we didn't use it all.

Our order just arrived at All Star Movies. For those of you that had your order cancelled, were you Costco members? We've been members for 10+ years and I've had my online log-in (with my regular ship to the same as my cc bill to) for a couple years. Could they be cancelling web orders that have different bill to / ship to addresses for new web accounts? That could explain the discrepency.

This won't help you with the delivery issue but we always take a camelback into the parks. We fill it with ice from either counter service or the hotel ice machines (it's filtered as far as I know because it doesn't taste vile like the sink or fountain water) and we have cold water all day long. It's lightweight and easy to wear/carry on rides.

I have no idea how expensive they are because we got our's from my dh's job. I've heard good things about the other brands but only have used camelback brand.
