In an attempt to make my vacation seem more all inclusive I ordered a $200 disney gift card to pay for our tips. It's me, my husband, and my 3 year old. We'll be eating 7 sit down meals during the duration of our vacation. Does this sound like enough to you?

Take a look at the menus for the restaurants you are planning to dine at here on wdwinfo, allears and the Disney website to figure out how much your meals will cost. If you are doing buffets, all you care to eat or any fixed price meals there is a sticky at the top of the Disney Restaurants board with prices.

There is a tipping thread stickied at the top of the Disney Restaurants board, but questions about personal tipping preferences are not allowed on the disboards.

Subjective to where you eat. Give us your itinerary and you will something more accurate.

The wife and I use 160 for tips for two people 7 TS. We eat two signatures the rest standard.

Personally I do the same thing but I always but on more than I feel I will need. When I tip I start at a certain point for the meal and then I go based on service. I am on the dining plan and have seen the difference in service when one is on the dining plan first hand. If the service is bad then I tip accordingly. I don't blame the wait staff for delays in the kitchen as it is not there fault. My tip is completely reflected on the wait staff only. With what ever I have left over on my tips gift card I usually will but a nice keepsake for the trip. Last trip we had enough to make a calendar using our photopass pictures.

i have 13 TS meals planned for 1 adult 1 kid and my tips are running a bit over $150 for the week @18% before tax. I would guess 7TS for 2 adults and one child it would be plenty, even at the more expensive places - you have just over half our meals with twice the adults but no more kids.

and this is why personal tipping habits discussion is not allowed. Mechanics are fine, but purposefully going to a restaurant and planning on not following US normal tipping guidelines :badpc:
