Aren't the lizards salamanders?:confused3

Anyway.. I did my online check in for CSR today!!!!!:cool1: 3 days room only before we move to Poly for our package. The really cool thing is we have dedicated our first full day for hanging around the resort, downtown Disney and just relaxing. So even if we only spend 3 nights at CSR we really get a full day to enjoy the resort. We haven't been since our honeymoon in 2008! I'm excited to go back:goodvibes

You could be right (although when I looked up chameleons they kind of looked the same).

I hope you have a MOST magical stay at CSR and that it is as wonderful as your honeymoon. :)

They are anoles, sometimes called chameleons. Enjoy your vacation! That's great that you scheduled a day to enjoy the resort and relax!

Thanks so much for the review. That is odd about your room and the sliding doors. I wonder if this is because these rooms are used more for "convention" guests. After nine stays at the CSR, Casitas 1 is the ONLY Casitas building we've not been in.

How cool that you saw an armadillo. We've seen bunnies, cats, lizards and alligators, but never an armadillo.

I thought it was odd too. Here are some pictures, feel free to use them if you ever need to...

I'm thinking that it was either what I thought earlier OR it is part of the "suite rooms" and you didn't get a suite, but you got one of the two "adjoining rooms" of the suites. Even the color schemes are different.

Thanks for the pics. :)

Looks like I'm wrong about the little lizards.. hey I'm a Canadian girl who sees a whole lot of snow and the odd squirrel here and there.. what do I know?:rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you for the vacation wishes! It just can't get here soon enough:goodvibes

Officially booked today for 3/19 to 3/27. ;-) I have to go to a conference in Downtown Disney, but got out of staying at the conference hotel because it was booked. :rotfl: I've wanted to stay at CSR for a couple years.

Can't wait!!

I thought I read somewhere that you could request microwaves from mousekeeping but they were on a first come first serve basis. Was this the resort that you could do that?

We are looking at end of May 2012 and I wanted to stay at POR, but the refurb time is cutting it close on getting queen beds so we are looking at CSR. I've heard so many positives on CSR and we've never stayed here. We've stayed at OKW and POR (when it was Dixie Landings, am I showing my age now?) :rolleyes1

I like to try new resorts and we'd really like one that we could possibly get a microwave (loved having one at OKW).

Any info would be appreciated.

thanks

That could very well be the case because we did have a door on the left of the bathroom that obviously connected to another room. This was room 1244.

Also is the frig under the tv now or where is it? Anyone know about the microwaves?

We did not ask for a microwave so I couldn't tell you. I'm not really quite sure where one would go... On the computer desk I guess?

The small fridge is in the cupboard portion of the "entertainment/dresser" unit. There's a small shelf that sits on top of that and that is where the TV sits.

Has anyone used a pack-n-play in the room with two queen beds? If so, how tight was it? Was there enough room for it? i am a little concerned about how we are going to fit two adults and three kids in the room (one of them is just shy of 2) with the pack-n-plan and all our luggage.

Where do you put the pack-n-play? can the beds be moved (over a few inches if needed to make room), or they on a bolted down box?

Yes, microwaves can be requested when checking in and are first come, first serve. There is no charge for them.

As Dani indicated, the fridge is "part of the dresser...the small cabinet on the bottom.

Well, we've not had a pack and play because we travel by ourselves (our boys are 25 and 22). However, the pack and play does fit without a problem from many reports that I've read; it also will fit behind the sliding doors in the bathroom area.

I believe most people fold it up and put it against the wall when they get up in the a.m.

On our last 3 trips to Disney have only ever stayed at Wilderness Lodge, this will be our first visit to a Moderate and CSR. We visited here the last trip and found it beautiful and decided we had to stay here next trip. We are going w/ our children and my friends and their kids in July. We are super excited!!

Question: We like the Rancho's section best we think. We would like to be close to a bus stop and the Main Dig Site pool. We aren't real worried about being close to the food court (we can fill our mugs at the Pool Bar right???) Which section of Rancho's do I request to be closest to the bus stop and pool?

Thanks for the info. Also can you rent a car from this resort, we'd like to be able to get there, hopefully get a microwave, then rent a car and run to Wally world or somewhere reasonably priced for pop and such. Is Wally world very far from Coronado springs?:surfweb:

I believe you have to rent a car from either the Disney car center (who will come & pick you up I believe if you call them) or get to Swan & Dolphin to rent a vehicle? (To get to S/D, you could take a bus to MGM & then catch the boat outside the park to drop you off at S/D).

I don't know if there is a closer WM now, but when we used to go & rent a car we had to drive about 5 to 7 miles to SuperWM. It was the busiest place I ever saw - it was way east on 192. We had to stalk a parking spot down (think the day after Thanksgiving at the mall!) at 11 pm at night & virtually EVERY register was open. I was floored at the amount of people in there at that time of night. We went out on 535 I believe & it was very close to where that came in on 192. I believe on the store locator the one we hit was #5420.
