Thank you.

He was in surgery for over three hours, but all went well. He has a long recovery ahead of him, but the surgery worked and I can relax again. I also got the great news that my mammogram was clear. So I can now say that I have been cancer free for four years. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Great news! Congrats on being cancer free for 4 years! Sending good thoughts, prayers and pixie dust for your brothers recovery!

Yay, Kathy!:woohoo: So glad you got a good report! :dance3:

Best wishes to your brother for a full recovery! :flower3:

For a few seconds I was looking for the "like" button. :lmao: I am so glad to hear your family and you are doing well.

I look forward to hearing all the wonderful info you provide about CSR. Just when I think I know everything about this resort I learn something new. I had no idea you could request microwaves. That is awesome. Thanks again.

I have not even got to work on my January trip report yet.....and I am already planning another trip.

My husband and I just decided to cancel a vacation we'd planned for the summer and head to CSR for half of spring break instead. :) We'll be there March 31 - April 5. I can't wait. It will be just my DH and DS who is 3 and a 1/2. (First trip without my daughter who will be with her dad when we go.)

I am thinking we might just enjoy CSR and not buy park tickets. Has anyone else done a Disney resort trip and no parks? Any sugestions? Do you think we will resisit the lure of the parks?

We just did the parks in January (when they were not crowded) on a discount. Not sure if I want to pay the big bucks for crowded park days over spring break. I imagine myself drinking Pina Coladas by the pool and playing with my DS.

I can't believe we are going back so soon!

I think this sounds great! Your son is a good age to do a day trip to Sea World if you really want to hit a park. And if you feel the need to see characters do a character meal at one of the resorts. You can take him to Downtown Disney to the Lego store for fun. I think that would so work! Oh yea, how about breakfast at Boma and animal watching at AKL? :thumbsup2

The Lego Store has a temporary location at the moment. There is no play area for the children at this location. The Lego Store's grand re-opening is scheduled for April. But there are other things to do at Downtown Disney. T-rex has a dig site, but then so does CSR. There are boats at DTD you could ride to check out other resorts. The onion rings and dip at the Turf Club are pretty awesome at SSR. The restaurant is close to their boat dock. You could always take a bus to MK or Epcot and ride the monorail to check out resorts or restaurants. You could also check out the animals at the AKL. Could also head over to the Boardwalk in the evening and watch the entertainment there, (juggler, magician, etc.) walk or take a boat over to Beaches and Cream.

Thanks for the correction on the lego store... haven't been there since last year. Hate to give bad advice.

It's not bad advice at all. There are still a few things to do at the store, it is the playground area and lego building area that is gone. The temporary store is in a tent.

They still have the fill a bucket with legos and the build 3 lego people. Both are somewhere under $20. The temporary location is between Earl of Sandwhich and the Once Upon a Toy.

Taking a shot in the dark here - Anyone know if the table lamps in the CSR rooms are available for purchase anywhere? I'm talking about the ones that have lights in the base as well as the regular light, as shown in this pic below...

Congratulations to both you and your brother!

My next two trips are at POFQ (due to their new rehab), but I'm already missing CSR and for some reason keep checking this thread almost every day.:rotfl: Oh well, I'll be back at CSR in Dec (if I don't change my mind for either my early May or late Sept trips).:rotfl:

Awesome news!!! :cool1:

Congratulations Kat! It is so good to hear you are 4 years cancer free!!!!!

Wonderful news Kat!! :woohoo:

THANK YOU all for your congrats on my 4-year cancer free, and the good wishes for my brother. He is up and walking the floor of the hospital and now on soft foods. They hope to have him home by the end of the week. :goodvibes

For anyone staying at the CSR on May 1: If you see a bunch of young people all dressed up, one of the local high schools is having their senior prom there. We are guessing that they are using one of the rooms at the Convention Center. If we find out any further information, we will keep you posted.

Hi all, thanks for all of the great info. Are there pool towels available, or should we bring our own?

There are towels provided at the main pool (and sometimes the quiet pool by the Casitas because of the health club). However, you can take the towels with you from the room and they will leave you more towels.

Booked a room for Oct. 1st - 8th. This will be my 3rd time staying here, 1st for my sons(17 & 15). I know they will love this resort as much as I do! I used a pin code I received in the mail, so that makes it even better :thumbsup2

I have been in the Ranchos & Cabana sections & liked them both. I have not made any requests yet, thinking of taking my chances on room location & just asking for ground floor.

I added the quick service dining plan, with my boys coming along this will be put to good use at the Pepper Market!

One question for now though, can you use dining plan credits at the snack bar by the pool?

Hi, Janet. Yes, you can use the credits at Siesta's at the pool. Mark and I usually split a lunch here when we have our pool break in the afternoon. We really like the chicken fingers and the nachos.

Thanks Kat! I was thinking the nachos sounded pretty good :)

Just hit my 10 day checkin! This will be our first stay, cant wait! Thanks again everyone for all the excellent info leading up to our trip! :cool1:

we are all booked for june 27-jul 5th for our 2nd trip to wdw! :yay: It's going to be our 10yr ann. and our girls first time to go (our first trip was our disneymoon)! we (mom and dad) are so excited! We are keeping (trying) it a secret from our girls to surprise them on the way down on our drive! I just printed our ressie confirmation and had a question, Does anyone know what a KS2 means on there? It has our resort csr-ks2? I just wanted to see if it stood for something and be careful not to change it if it is something special? Thanks so much and look forward to reading the rest of this thread! currently on pg 55! lol!:rotfl:

Quick question: We are thinking about staying at CSR in Feb of 2012. I'm attempting to run the Princess Half Marathon and thought it might be nice to get a massage after. I read there is a spa at CSR. Has anyone used it? Are the spa services nice there, massages etc. Is it a very "spa-ish" feeling, or just a locker room and a massage table type of thing.

Thanks for any info you can give me on the spa. What info I have found is not very informative and just states "massage, facial, etc.".

Thank you!
