Well I did it. When we were at CSR Dec 12th-20th I booked the bounceback offer for three trips in 2010 (May 1st-9th at PORS for a solo trip, Oct 23rd-31st at CBR with my husband, and Dec 4th-12th at CSR-solo for now, but hope to talk my mom into going). My husband and mom both loved CSR so much, that they've been telling me I should switch all three 2010 reservations over to CSR. I usually don't like to stay at the same resort for consecutive trips and I really like PORS' boat to DTD, but feel their rooms could do with a refurbishment and don't really care for their bus system. Anyway, I just called and switched my May trip from PORS to CSR. I even requested the same areas I stayed in this past Sept and Dec (first floor Cabanas 8A or 9B).:cool1: Anyone else stay in the same resort for multiple trips? Did I make the right decision? I've already changed the countdowns in my signature. lol

Annual Pass discounts came out today for 01/01-06/03! I just called and had them modify my bounceback deal to the AP discount and saved another $165.41 over the bounceback I had.:cool1: I also didn't have to buy another one day ticket I didn't need in order to buy the DDP, (like I had to do in order to get the bounceback). I'm thrilled. I just saved $650.40 over rack rate.:cool1:

Happy New Year, everybody! I am planning a May 10th, '10 trip and was automatically going to reserve CBR except that I thought I should try POR or PORFQ just for something differrent. It never dawned on me to look into CSR, but wow, now that I have I am leaning toward CSR---those renovated rooms look wonderful and the resort looks so picturesque--if you've stayed at both, I'd love to hear your pros and cons and favorite of the two....

This trip will be one of many we've tqaken this past decade and w/ DH and DS 11. When we stayed at CBR, the new pool hadn't opened and I always thought we should return just for the CBR pool experience, but----the CSR main pool looks to be just as much fun!

Help me decide---this is driving me nuts! :confused3

CSR has queens, no other mods do. That sold me :thumbsup2 Haven't stayed in POR PORFQ tho...

We've stayed at all the mods. CSR is my fave & CBR is DH's fave. They both have nice rooms although we preferred the queen beds @ CSR - and they ARE really comfortable beds! Just as nice as the Poly, so CSR gets the nod there.

We think Pepper Market has much better food than the food court at CBR. Both pool areas are nice although we found CSR was not as loud - the pirate features at CBR are really fun but you get a constant clang clang clang from the ship's bell that is cute for about 5 minutes then it gets really old.

Both resorts have gorgeous grounds. When you close your eyes, what theme pops up for you as your favorite? HTH~have a wonderful trip!

Hi everyone! We are currently booked at CBR but are considering a move to CSR or a possible split stay (we are going for 2 weeks). Does the main pool have a toddler slide as well as the main slide? The pool is the most important feature according to my son. :lmao:

Thanks :goodvibes

We didn't see anything other than the huge waterslide when we were there, but we didn't pay much attention to the toddler pool. I just don't recall seeing one.

Hi everyone!! I will be staying at CSR in March for a convention/conference for work and have a few questions that I hope you can help me out with. I saw on the first page that people attending a convention stay at Cabanas B is this true-if so yeah for us!!! Does that mean I don't have to request that area? And what is included in the club level services? I am going with my 11 yo son, my friend and her 9 yo daughter can they access these services also? We are so excited to go both of our families went over the summer for family trips but we are just taking our older kids this time. Any other tips you can give are appreciated.

This is so great... so many great tips in here! I was wondering if some of the more experienced folks could advise on where to stay within CSR with two little ones (ages 4 and 6). I know we'll want to check out the Dig Site, and be fairly near a pool, but also know we'll want fairly easy access to El Centro. We're all pretty healthy, so a little walk isn't a big deal, but the kids' little legs won't take them as far as ours will and we won't want to have to bring the stroller everywhere we go.

I saw that the Cabana (espec. Bldgs 8B and 8A) were highly advised b/c of access to the Dig Site and El Centro. I was originally thinking Casitas Bldg 5A b/c it seemed close to the Dig Site AND El Centro AND the bus, but looking at the map, not so sure.

Pool access would be nice, too, but we have early sleepers... noise level might be an issue.

And are the corner rooms bigger? Or just nicer?

Sorry... so many questions, I know. Any help would be appreciated - thanks!!!!

Ok, so I called CSR again about the Dig site being down in January and asked about transportation to the feature pool at CBR. I was told that they will not have a dedicated shuttle going between CBR and CSR. Instead, it's on a guest by guest basis and as staff are available to take you over.

So, if no one is available, then yes, you have to take Disney transport to a park, then back to CBR. That' can't be a quick ride right? I saw someone said 45 mins, is this accurate? I really don't see how this is any kind of fair replacement for closing a feature pool.

I tried attaching a scan of the letter I was sent informing me about the pool being closed, but my post count isn't high enough, try below if you want to see it.

We had to switch our dates to earlier in November 2010(9th-16th) and now there are no rooms available. Was all excited to stay there, we need queen size beds at least. I can only think they are having some kind of conference or convention at that time to have all the rooms not available. I guess we will end up having to spend more and book a deluxe.:sad2:

Keep checking back. My dates were unavailable for a long time, but opened up about a month ago. I wonder if they block out rooms for a convention and release them as they don't need them?

Forgive me if the answer to this question is found in this thread, but have all the rooms at CS been remodeled? I was wondering if it is necessary to request a renovated room when making a reservation.

Thanks!

All rooms have been remodeled. No need to request a renovated room. :goodvibes
