This is a question that I almost posted in the Community Section because it is not specific to the College Program, but I knew that I would find a bunch of hospitality majors in this section.
What exactly makes an event a convention? What I always thought of as a convention is apparently known as a "tradeshow" to those in the hospitality business. I am having trouble understanding the difference between a conference vs. a convention vs. a tradeshow. I did not go to university. I went to stenotype school so I understand nothing about hospitality management. Can someone clarify for me please?
