We are taking the whole family to WDW in June. Just recently we received some info about a convention that we might go to that will be in Orlando in Sept. They have a link to buy WDW tickets at a 10% discount. Will these tickets only be good to start using in Sept? They offer both expiring and nonexpiring tickets so I thougt I could get the longer nonexpiring tickets and use them in June and than again in Sept. Just not sure if they have anything on them indicating the convention dates or if they can be used at any time.

The very nature of NON-expiring tickets is that they don't expire.

As to what your convention planning committee arranged with WDW regarding tickets, is something you need to discuss with THEM (those on your convention committee).

I know what nonexpiring means, my questions is will they have a beginning date on them. It is a national convention and the info they sent had no ticket info. When I went to the hotel website there was a link for WDW convention tickets. I am just wondering if they can be used before the convention or will they only be good once the convention begins.

Can you PM me the link so I can take a look at it?

I used convention tickets before but they may be different.

Generally, tickets with convention discounts (such as the convention tickets we got as participants in Lotusphere in past years) are pre-activated, so that they have a specific expiry date, regardless of first use.

I just used convention tickets this past weekend and they were not pre-dated. I had to indicate the dates of the convention I was attending and the name of the convention. I got a fabulous deal through the convention and visitors bureau doing it this way, but I did use it during the dates of the convention and I bought the expiring ones, so I don't know how it would work in your situation.

There is no difference between the tickets I used and the ones you would buy at the gate or elsewhere. Mine expired after use. I would think that the ones you will be getting would be valid for use both in June and September. But I don't know.
