Contempory or MK parking lot?

We have a PS at CG for 8:15. I was planning to drive my rental car from MK to Cont. hoping to avoid massive crowds in the MK parking lot after the fireworks. Now that hours have been extended to 11:00, we may want to return to MK until they run us out! Are the MK departing crowds bad enough to warrant walking back to MK, then walking back to our car at the Cont. when the park closes? Or should we just take the monorail over there and leave our car at MK and leave with everyone else? We will be there on a Wed. , if that makes any difference.

If you can walk back to your car after the fireworks you will be much better off. The line is long for the resort monorail at park closing.

I agree, I would walk back to the contemporary. You will avoid a lot of traffic this way too!

I also agree, take the walk back. It nice and relaxing because it gets you away from the huge crowds at the MK.

Thanks! We will walk back and avoid the monorail. Another question - I thought we would have 3 hours before we had to leave the Con. parking lot, but I read somewhere else that it's 2. If that's the case, we would have to leave by 10:15, before MK closes. When I made the PS, closing was at 10:00 and the firewords were at 9:00. Now that everything is 1 hour later, I wonder if I should try to change our PS for a later time? We will be there the 25th, 4 days from now! Is it too late to change?
