Some folks live in a world of make believe. All the obama has to do is wave the magic cigerette (I guess, this is his wand), thrust his nose in the air and say "hope and change"....and all is right with the world.

I guess, some just can't face reality.

Happy New Year to you too LOG - how was your trip to Michigan? Did you get your hummer this time? Were you able to go sledding?

Nope- No Hummer this time...it had already been rented. Went with a godawful PT Cruiser. I swear, the only customers for that monstrosoty have to have been car rental companies. What a POS! Luckily, I found the roads to be in a lot better shape than I had originally feared. No blow outs, no fiery wreckage of a PT Cruiser on the local news...

Anyway, (as you know) we got that snow on Tuesday and took the girls sledding at Sylvan Glen Golf Course in Troy Wednesday morning...had a ball. My oldest, who was born in NYC, has previous experience with the white stuff, but it was fun to see our little 1 yo Florida girl flopping around in the snow. Overall, we had a good time...thanks for asking.

Sorry guys (and gals), I just don't like her. I can read her books, but her voice grates on my nerves. Plus, I don't like how she flips her hair around when she's trying to make a point. She doesn't seem sincere.

Can I still be in the club? I really like Bobby Jindal and SP, even though she hates animals.

The DIS is making me sad today. Some of the things I've read just make me wonder about the direction this country is taking. I know there are folks here that are not believers, so I will try not to get too "preachy" but the utter disregard for right and wrong and for morality in general out there is very upsetting. Here's some things I've learned today:

Being a virgin when you marry is something to laugh over and ridicule.

Parents who limit the entertainment content that comes into their children's lives are "nuts"

Children who are subject to restrictions will "go wild" when released from their parent's control

Terrorists who hide behind women and children are right and good, a country that defends it's citizens against random attacks is evil.

Have I missed anything???
