My fellow GOP peeps, I am sitting here our Pop Century 50's section room laptopping. My DH is rattling the floor with his snoring yet I can hear Illuminations fireworks. Our bellies are bursting from the Canyon skillet at Wilderness Lodge and once again we wonder why did we do it to ourselves yet AGAIN! Perhaps its because the food is awesome!

The crowds are very manageable and today thru tonight it will be cold. This is the first Disney trip I made WITHOUT SHORTS. So far, we have not scored a Dreampass like we always do, but the week is young. Tomorrow...Studios AND we will start looking for the Ward family at Pop century.

Wow...Illuminations finale sounds like all heck broke loose. Wish you all were here in our room!

Five more days for me. I love Whispering Canyon...the chocolate milkshakes are scrumptious. I hope the weather holds out for the rest of your trip. I'm thinking of only packing one or two pairs of shorts. I don't even care if the weather is lousy. As the saying goes - a bad day at Disney is better than a good day at work!!!

Nite y'all! Housewives of OC is on - reality tv is a guilty pleasure of mine.... popcorn::

G'night Breezy.

I'm watching something about a wolfman. I guess his gf breaks up with him.

ETA: Wolfman is on Animal Planet. He's a man who raises wolves, not a hairy person.

Goodnight Breezy! Thanks for the food :)

Just found my snowman name: Bling-Bling Nippy-Toes! I'm liking it.

Glad you're having fun! Any skillet pictures to share when you get time? ;) I'm thinking of making an ADR there since we'll be at WL again and still haven't tried it.

So add chocolate! I'll bet mint chocolate would goooooood.
Ghirardelli's (sp?) makes a yummy peppermint bark with what seems to be milk chocolate on the bottom of it.

Same question: Any WCC pictures to share? Detailed reviews to point me towards?

I was watching some of that show, but the Atlanta version, over Thanksgiving. Yikes. Most of those women made Atlanta look horrible, IMO. So sad because I love the Atlanta area. Haven't been in a few years because I really did not feel safe there the last time I went. I saw someone almost get robbed in the Turner Field parking lot after a game, and that was enough for me for now. :scared1: My family was also followed in 1997 coming out of Underground Atlanta. We were pretty sure the man was going to try and rob us because he followed us a long ways and then got right up behind us and grabbed in the direction of our pocketbooks. From what I remember, a cop happened to be walking by and the guy magically backed off and then disappeared. Really scary considering one of my uncle's bosses was shot and killed in UA by a robber around that same time. :sad2:

Anyhow, I'm OT. Night breezy!

Hi Everyone....have been taking a break from all the craziness and getting back to basics like my family...hehehe...not to mention cleaning my house.

Hope ya all had a super duper Thanksgiving...Breezy did ya have a feast posted :goodvibes bet ya did and bet it looked yummy.

I spent my day Monday cyber shopping and got some really great deals. Stayed away from Black Friday. To early for me.

So how do you all feel about Obama's choices. Lots of Clinton people. Me liking the Clinton's well works for me. However I know many of you are not. I am happy with Hillary being SOS....she is a tough broad....

Am interested to here your take on it. I have missed chatting with all of you but it was getting so crazy with the OS that I had to get away. It has done me a world of good!

so what say you?????

Or how about some peppermint mocha....

starbucks-holiday-drinks-peppermint.jpg

Oh man...that looks really good!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

meat-lasagna.jpg

I don't have anything planned for dinner, and that looks so good...

And you also made me remember that Barnes & Noble should now have the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccinos that I so dearly love by now. I need to take a road trip tomorrow (no B&N near me)! :yay:

I did not know about these...Barnes and Noble, you say? I'll have to drive 1-1/2 hours to get to one, but I will most definitely remember that next time I'm in town. :thumbsup2

Will do! Probably 3 or 4 times. :goodvibes
I feel like that old WDW commercial where you see the adults in bed saying "I'm too excited to sleep!" :rotfl:

need_a_Disney_fix --got the pm, will be watching for you. :thumbsup2

Thanks to everyone offering prayers to DFIL. He got out of the hospital today and is doing great! HE can't drive for 2 week, but other than that it seems like he's back to normal. It truly is a miracle!
This means DH gets to go on vacation too instead of staying behind with his dad. :thumbsup2

Hey Robin! :cool1: You've been missed around here.

Actually I am OK with some of the cabinet appointments. After all the nasty things he said about Clinton, I'm surprised H appointed her. Wasn't it him who said her foreign poicly experience amounted to having tea with some dignitaries? :confused3 Anyhow, I'm not going to fuss about Clinton at SoS. I'll give her a chance. I am very happy about Gates staying on at defense, and like Jones as well.

Emmanuel, Napolitano, Richardson and the goober he picked for AG... not so much. I don't think much of any of these folks.

Hey GD! Glad you're doing well. Missed ya.

I've never been a fan of the Clintons. That would actually be an understatement, but anyway. Regardless, out of the people Obama was reportedly considering for SoS (Kerry, Richardson, and Clinton), I without question wanted Hillary to get the job. I may not agree with her on hardly anything, but I very much remember her standing up to Obama on foreign policy, including the talks without preconditions bit. She's a smart and tough lady, regardless of what I think of her policies, and I'm confident she won't just be a "yes woman" to all of his plans. I think Kerry and Richardson would've been yes men all the way. They are both loathsome characters, IMO.

As for the ex-Clintonites invading the administration... I can't stand Emanuel. I think he's a horrid man, dating back to his stabbing the table with knives and screaming "Die! Die!" about various opponents. And that's just one of many issues I have with him. He's one of the ones that disgust me the most. But mostly I'm amused because Obama promised change and more change, and it's looking to be mostly the 3rd Clinton term that never was. Ironic, to say the least.

So, that's my take on it as a conservative.

Okay, this thread has introduced me to a whole new level of forum involvement! It is quite difficult to keep up, but I shall adjust accordingly.

An update on my externship next spring, I will be living in the housing for the Heritage Foundation, which affiliates me with their programs and allows me access to their lecture series. My conservative arsenal will be well-stocked!

Also, I was informed by Sen. Brownback's office that, among other duties, I will be entertaining Kansas constituents with private tours of the Capitol. If you are in D.C. between January and April, come visit our office and request a tour (pretend you are from Kansas if you have to). I thought learning the Jungle Cruise spiel was bad, but this script looks torturous! There goes my Christmas break...

Three weeks from tomorrow we leave!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

That's about the time I will be getting back to WDW! I should arrive in Florida on the 21st, but since I will be driving from Colorado I must be flexible for the unknown traveling conditions. I will surely be home by the 22nd and in the parks no later than the 23rd. Woohoo!

Remember what BO said the other day Zip - something like "any comments that were made during the campaign..."

I will give it my best shot. We may try and eat there on Sunday for dinner. No ADR, just hope for the best! We usually do pretty well with pure dumb luck.

I'm sorry to say the OS have only gotten nastier, so I'd steer clear of the CB, except for this thread. Obama's choices are…interesting. I think he is choosing center-right people because he desperately wants to get the economy on track so he can unleash his radical, big government, leftist domestic agenda and high taxation schemes on the nation. He just can't do that until the economy is stable, and apparently he can't get the economy stable with radical leftists in his cabinet. Ironic, no?

Hillary as SoS is actually a mystery to me. I just do not see the upside of it for either one of them. Clearly, some kind of deal has been made. Has he promised her the VP slot in 2012? Has he promised her that Biden won't serve the full 4 years and she can be VP before 2012? Does she have dirty pictures of him? Does he just want to make sure she's 12,000 miles away at all times? I don't get it. :confused3

One thing is for sure, though. Since the terrorist attack in Mumbai, every time I see Obama on TV he looks like a deer in headlights. He looks just plain scared, so I think he's really trying to surround himself with as many grown-ups as possible. There's a million miles of difference between campaigning on "hope" and "change" and trying to keep the nation safe from those murderous fanatics. Obama's just getting started on that long march.

Hey, anyone else notice that he refused to campaign for Martin down in Georgia? See, I don't think Obama wanted a filibuster-proof Senate headed by Dingy Harry. I think he thought the dem party would very quickly be seen as the source of so many of our current problems.

So, that's my take.

Obama didn't back Martin down in GA because he knew Martin was a dead lock to lose. Obama didn't want to squander his political capital on a loser.
