Dang y'all! I'm typing on a laptop and I'm soooo not used to it. It's taking me forever to navigate this thing. Blah!

After what's being going down around here the past few days, that's something to be pretty thankful for! :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2
Hi ya Breezy!

Has anyone heard from AgentPleakley? I've been a little worried about her.

I'm a fan of Steven Curtis Chapman - he's a big name in the world of contemporary Christian music - more than the music, though, he really does act as a compelling role model of a Christian living out his faith even during tough times....

all that to say, he's written a song about GWB - "Good-bye, Mr President"

here's a link to it -- http://stevencurtischapman.com/

with the note:
Wow!!! He's right, though. GWB might not have been perfect, but he has been our leader for 8 years and DOES deserve a HUGE thank you for that!!:goodvibes
I am officially nominating this for the title of our next thread. Do I hear a second?
I AGREE!!!!!!!

Hi, everybody. So, is a conservative Independant welcome here or just the Republicans (I capitalize the word Republican every time.)

If not, I have just read 52 pages to find personal sanity.:thumbsup2 Needed it after the thread I have secretly renamed "Obama's Slamming Supporters"-the one about his "National Youth Movement". Some how it got into a discussion of gun rights (and we know how our POTUS, elect feels about guns & bibles...:lmao: ). Since the poster did not list the "link" up & instead put the information in the quote...the Obama supporters decided it was inadmissable. No link to click on...therefore it was a conspiracy to discredit Obama.:lmao:

Understand why I needed a sip of sanity?

Is our country really this gulliable? :sad2:

Welcome! :goodvibes Yeah, heads-up. Those liberals love their links. For some crazy reason the last liberal that I told to go and google it himself didn't seem to like me much after I told him that...:confused3

Soooo, what'd I miss? popcorn::

:lmao: Do you really wanna know?

:surfweb:

This is a rather dull evening....

Soarin, we really don't want a repeat of yesterday. I'm alllll for the dull evening. :thumbsup2

Steven Curtis Chapman is a good man. He is right - love or hate Bush, he's been our President for the past eight years. After 9/11 he's kept terrorist attacks off of US soil and has worked hard to keep this country safe.

Other news... I just returned home from watching The Dark Knight. It's showing at the dollar theater down the road from me. The movie comes out Dec 9. I can't wait! I think that's my favorite movie this year - it's so well done. But then again, I rarely ever go to see movies so there's not a lot else that I've seen to put it in competition with The Dark Knight as my favorite movie for the year.

I've also been thinking about AP. I know it's been a rough time for her. It's especially hard losing loved ones during the holidays. I hope she knows we have her in our thoughts and prayers.

I agree. I think I need to sign off y'all. It's driving me nuts trying to navigate this thing - I should be back home tomorrow, I'll catch y'all then.

No, it's dull at my house. My sister is at work, my dad is at work, my brother is in bed, my mom's watching TV.... yawn.
