Conservative Thread: We cannot do everything at once, but we can do something at once

Hi ya Breezy!

Has anyone heard from AgentPleakley? I've been a little worried about her.

I'm a fan of Steven Curtis Chapman - he's a big name in the world of contemporary Christian music - more than the music, though, he really does act as a compelling role model of a Christian living out his faith even during tough times....

all that to say, he's written a song about GWB - "Good-bye, Mr President"

here's a link to it -- http://stevencurtischapman.com/

with the note:

Pink and Mem Shannon did better versions. You can look it up!

WOW! That is so dead-on! Here's the rule from here on: Bookmark the above page, and then whenever one is arguing online with a liberal, and he or she whips out one of these tactics (which will be by their 2nd or 3rd posting), reply by posting the link and saying "Debate over. You're guilty of Liberal Rule for Arguing Number 3." And then just don't post in that thread anymore. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Since Breezy's out of commission, I'll fix dinner for us, by request --

and, since it is still Thanksgiving weekend, two desserts!

Why not provide the link?? I'm guessing because they aren't DIS appropriate lyrics. I'll pass, but nice try though.:lmao: :rotfl2:

Great catch, SM! I give 'em credit for trying to slip one in every now and then.

By the way, I love your Christmas tree in your signature.

Might have to give that a shot! :thumbsup2

Hmmm.... might try that when I'm feeling exceptionally brave enough to post in one of their threads.:thumbsup2

AND.... thank you Debbie!!!! Everything looks WONDERFUL!!:goodvibes

Welcome home! I think you'll find that most folks here are self-identified as Conservatives, rather than Republicans, but come election time, well, we gotta go with the candidate who isn't a liberal, don't we?

Well, that would certainly describe me. :)

Disclaimer: No H's were harmed in the typing of this post.

I love that! :rotfl2:

Welcome CFA! Did they tell you about the six past additions of our thread? :) Don't worry... like others have said, we have all types of views here, but have many common goals.

That is so true...and what I like about this thread. We have common goals, but we don't agree about everything. That's a good thing!

A question...I don't ever venture over to "the other side." Do they ever disagree with anything Obama says or does? I really, really like President Bush. I think he has been a great president, and he was what our country needed, especially with what happened on 9/11. That being said, I don't think he's been perfect. "No Child Left Behind" has been a pain to deal with (my DH is in the education field, and it made some parts of homeschooling hard). I wish he would have reigned in some of the government spending. I just wonder if Obama supporters will ever question anything he does, or if everything he does will be perfect?

Thanks, Debbie. :goodvibes

I am officially nominating this for the title of our next thread. Do I hear a second?

Yes, yes...I love it! :cheer2:

...love or hate Bush, he's been our President for the past eight years. After 9/11 he's kept terrorist attacks off of US soil and has worked hard to keep this country safe.

That is so true...:goodvibes

I've also been thinking about AP. I know it's been a rough time for her. It's especially hard losing loved ones during the holidays. I hope she knows we have her in our thoughts and prayers.

Yes, I am thinking about her as well....

Hi, :wave2: We could have used some lasagna yesterday. ;)

I am so sick of turkey and ham...yuck. Lasagna sounds fantastic.

my computer reported that link as an ATTACK site!

Mine, too. :confused3

I feel good right now.... the worst post I've ever seen a lib post got DELETED about thirty minutes after I (and more of us, I bet) reported it! :dance3: I'm so glad, for one, because the content was unbelievably nasty and scathing. When I first read it I was like !!! How can you sleep at night SAYING things like that?

Hmmm. Mine allowed it as safe. :confused3 Maybe, I have a "liberal" computer.:scared:

Was it aimed at me? The exceptionally nasty ones are often aimed at me.
