Which, to me, shows the depth of their compassion and classiness. If I remember correctly, didn't that same article mention that Dick Cheney and Mrs. Cheney did the same thing, maybe not on as big a scale, but did it secretly/respectfully?

I don't know if they went out of their way to keep it quiet; I don't think they'd mind if we knew. But they certainly didn't announce it or feel the need to bring the press.

Very true. If the people like Rush had not started talking about the first bill the people would not have known enough to stand up against it. Now the approval rating for it is pretty low (like in the 20's I think) and people have called to say no way.

yes...they are compassionate people. no way they're gonna turn somebody's heartbreak into a pr opportunity.

Yeah. I can think of one radio/TV host who's gonna have a whole lot to say about this after the fact.
