Conservative Thread: U.S. Steele - Back In Business

Note the date! I agree with Lindsay Graham! Exact words were: "The American people are sooo tired of us..."

Why yes, yes we are!!! :crazy2: I'm tired of about 99% of the idiots in D.C. on both sides, thank you very much!

I can't believe Graham has actually grown a spine. I can't believe I actually agreed with a lot of what he said. It's shocking. Am I dreaming, or am I in the Twilight Zone? Spineless, whimpering, RINO Graham, trashing this plan, trashing the libs, and trashing Obama? Really?!!!

It's a cold day in a certain hot place. :faint:

It's amazing how the left had no problem with this when movies were being made and books written about Bush being assassinated. Back then it was considered free speech and if someone on the right spoke out about it they were a bunch of Nazis
Yeah....well...it's Bush's fault! You hear me?! Bush's fault!
:p

Geez, you'd think people would stop, take a deep breath, and remember that there was a freekin' MOVIE made about killing Bush. You know what, that movie didn't bother me. Not that I'd ever see it, but free speech and what not...

Agreed.

On the stimulus note, it looks like Specter and Collins are lining up to be the Judases and allow this mess of a bill to pass. Specter himself said it's a bad bill, but hey, we gotta do something! Oh please.

These two RINOs sicken me. If ever there was a time to stick together, this was it. Even McCain isn't behind this, and he loves stabbing conservatives in the back! Yes, you have to do something, but junk spending is not it. Here's hoping to a Republican with some fiscal sense running against them in a primary when they're each up for reelection. McConnell ought to get them both in a room right now and chew them out, IMO. This isn't about being partisan, this is about recognizing the fact that doing something wrong just to do something is both stupid and immoral when you're talking about this kind of money.

Specter's email inbox is supposedly full, but people are suggesting we email Steele at the RNC and tell him we want two people who practice fiscal responsibility running in a primary for the nomination for those two seats come re-election year if they dare to vote for this travesty. Good idea, IMO.

Ugghhh... this sickens me. :crazy2:

On a brighter note, gang... I saw "The Wrestler" today. Awesome, fantastic, near perfect movie! Mickey Rourke was amazing and should win an Oscar. Marisa Tomei was better (not to mention she is one smokin' hot lady). It is a well-written and well-acted fable of a man who messes up every good thing in his life beyond hope of reconciling things. It would not be everyone's cup of tea, but as a 40-something guy this was a great movie for me to watch.

kathy seldon: here we are...sunset and camden.

805 is less than is was this morning I think. That is good. tax cuts are good too. Funny isn't that about what Rush was suggesting?

.....and under the cover of darkness. The evil spendulus bill again transforms into porkulus. :scared1:

it's funny, since so many of us have written and called our senators about this. i'm always very clear, "if you vote for this, i won't vote for you."

wonder if they ever get their messages...

I love Singin' in the Rain. I used to sing "Good Mornin'" to my kids in the morning when they were babies.

About Obama being the only one/1st one to meet with the families of the Cole? I have a feeling he's the only one who publicized a meeting with the families. Needing to stay in the spotlight, and all that jazz.

They are at the part where Lena finds out Kathy is her voice. DH and DS went off skiing this weekend so DD and I are staying up late and watching old movies. Next up Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!

that sounds more like it...i'll bet you're right. we found out only recently that the bushes would go meet with military families and it was all kept very private. :goodvibes
