Connections Phone Number & Vacation Kingdom Dinner Vouchers

Does anyone know what the rules are on the kid's vacation kingdom lunch vouchers? Do they have to order off the kid's menu? I have an 11 year old who usually wants to order off the adult menu. Will I have to buy adult vouchers for him?

They would not let me order the appetizer or dessert for two and RFC in Oct. maybe they've changed their policy.

Yes, children must order off of the children's menu if they want to use a Child voucher. BUT...if there are no appetizers on the children's menu then they may choose an appetizer from the adult menu. The same is true of desserts. We used one at Le Cellier last month. DD and DS shared a shrimp appetizer from the adult menu ($9 I think) and then DD ordered a steak from the children's menu. Dessert was also off of the children's menu but it was what she would have chosen either way (the Chocolate Moose...too cute). Check out the menus at www.wdwig.com to see which restaurants offer children's appetizers/desserts.

I have just checked the Connections website and the dinner vouchers still are not listed. Therefore I sent an email to Connections to ask about it. I will post when I hear back.

Meanwhile, is there a complete list posted somewhere of the restaurants for the lunch vouchers?

Someone posted a few days ago that the new DINNER voucher is 62.50 ea.

I jumped back in this thread and that's what was listed through WDW itself. If it is anywhere near that price, I wouldn't purchase them- I'd rather go to a character dinner for less $$.

Although some waitstaff will let you order the items intended for two with the voucher, most will not. It is nice if that happens for you, but do not go counting on it since that is not the intention of the voucher. Children must order off the children's menu where they are available. Connections can save a considerable amount of money if you plan accordingly. As stated by others do your business over the internet for the least amount of hassle--I never had problems with Connections until I had to deal with a human!

AMEN to that. No humans, no trouble, when it comes to Connections!!

I'm glad that they allowed you an appetizer. When we were there in December, they refused my DD. I could not understand it since there are no childrens appetizers. But they wouldn't budge. So I just paid cash for her meal. Maybe they are starting to allow it which is good news.

or even better, held in their hand, the new vacation dinner vouchers? Any clue on when they will be available, and what the price through connections will be?

Thanks

has anyone ordered & received the exp. May 2004, Quick & Casual Vouchers or have they been done away with? What's the cost of these new Q&C?

I ordered and used May 2004 Connection vouchers. Great deal.
SAWYERMAW, can you post about where you used them and your experiences?

We are going to WDW for the first time in July. I joined Connections through Lillian Vernon and ordered on line as some of you have suggested. Since some of you have had problems I will let you all know when I recieve them. Thanks to everyone on this board for all the help.

HI,

I joined connections through Lillian Vernon and ordered some vouchers for our trip that we just returned from. I waited too late to order and unfortunately they had temporarily run out of Adult Breakfast Vouchers. We used the Quick & Casual Vouchers at Flame Tree Bar-B-Q in AK and at Beaches and Cream. We got good value at both of these places.

At Flame Tree we used two vouchers. My DH order ribs, key lime pie and drink. I ordered a fruit plate, french fries, chocolate cake and drink. I also ordered a kids hotdog meal for older DD. I shared the fruit and french fries with everybody including younger DD. I think the total meal w/o the kid's meal was around $33.

At Beaches and Cream we weren't very hungry so we used one voucher for a double hamburger and asked for an extra bun. Our waiter was nice enough to go ahead and split this up onto two plates and then we cut them up to share with the kids. The kids split a lemonade and we order the Fudge Mud Slide for dessert. I think the total would have been around $20.

Just did a search and had my questions answered. Too bad I can't delete this. Call it a bump :)

I posted last Tuesday that I had ordered vouchers. Well they came today. Not a hastle at all. I did as was suggested though, and ordered on line. Thanks again for the help.

Still nothing official about the dinner vouchers, huh?

jcemom, People are posting info about the dinner voucers. So far I have found out that they are 62.50 ea and include Hopp dee doo and Calif grill. Still not worth it as I always spend less than 62.50 per person at both of those places.
