Vin Scully, during Friday’s Cub-Dodger game: “Andre Dawson has a bruised knee and is listed as day-to-day. (Pause.) Aren’t we all?”
Absolutely....especially these days. This could also be the best advice on Life ever written
There was absolutely nothing rude about my question. I was seriously asking because I wanted to know. We're all clearly already aware that nobody knows what the changes will be; that's why we're here discussing the rumors.I see this is the way you typically communicate on this forum and I just scroll, but why be rude? She rightfully quoted somebody who indicated there is knowledge out there. It is NOT up to anybody here to say who should and should not be involved in any conversation.
Prebooking doesn't guarantee getting the full benefit from it either, on the contrary, it reduces capacity before you even enter the park.I am very on the fence about this, but you make good points. The only part I really do not like is that we pay for a service that we are not guaranteed to get full benefit from. Paying $22 per person and then OOP for a ILL to get to select 2 - 3 rides really stinks. :/

If the rumors are true, which I grant that we don't know, otherwise they wouldn't be rumors, it will make an already overcomplicated system more complicated. If the rumors aren't true, then it won't.
Nothing yet???
Latest reports are that they will wait until the new year. Jan 1st, 2025 is when the new 8 day lead-up hotel cancelation policy will begin. If Disney were to change G+ to be pre-bookable starting 7 days before your trip, the new 8 day no refund cancelation policy would stop people from making cancelable hotel reservations just to make G+ selections.Nothing yet???
This makes sense. Price will be heading north.Latest reports are that they will wait until the new year. Jan 1st, 2025 is when the new 8 day lead-up hotel cancelation policy will begin. I never understood this hack. If you book a hotel 7 days prior, and then cancel when you tap into a park... Doesn't the app/Disney IT realize your reservation is no longer linked to a WDW hotel? I would think your Genie+ bookings would automatically be cancelled.Latest reports are that they will wait until the new year. You are giving Disney IT way too much credit. This "hack" worked for a very long time in the fastpass days when people booked throwaway hotel reservations to get the 60 day priority and then cancelled and got a refund. This hack also still works for restaurant reservations.I

AND THAT IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS ANYMORE.In theory it is actually a good idea, although I would like to see a change before my December trip.
They would need to revamp the system as it works today. Perhaps they are working on it, but I have my doubts.
People have done this for FP+ as well as dining for many years. It was even used to gain extra magicbands.
Yep. The economy sucks. Perks, extras, etc are greatly affected everywhere by it. Then, you have scamming (everywhere, not just Disney) for people to get those "extras" and then it hurts it for the honest people.AND THAT IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS ANYMORE.
The free MagicBands were a nice perk.
