Yes, they could pre-book 2 selections per day. That has been eliminated. So before the DAS changes, DAS receipants could pre-book ride selections? And now they cant?
I hope not. Still holding out hope that we can have a trip this fall with no park reservations and doing genie plus as we go. Reserving and planning parks ahead of time negates that. With the modify feature, it’s so much easier to get on a decent amount of headliners. Vloggers post you tubes on how to sleep in and still get what you want done.Tom Bricker says we should hear something “very, very soon”……
When Tiana opens officially?
Totally agree- I don't want Genie+ to change. Let it be - works great for many. Those that are complaining will just continue to complain even after changes are made. Plus, reserving genie attractions ahead of time will once again likely bring poor feedback from first time guests who are annoyed they didn’t book earlier just like in the days of FP+.
IMHO they have finally hit a happy medium. They should let it breathe a bit before messing with it substantially again.
Wish it was always this easy, but you were visiting during a very low crowd month. Glad you were able to modify and get every you wanted, though!I gotta say I love Genie+ as it is. Am I slightly annoyed that I have to pay for it? Yea. But the positives far out weigh the one negative (having to pay). We just spent a week at CBR and this was my second time using Genie+ and I had no problems getting every single ride and we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes. It was glorious.
I know a lot of people like stacking Lightning Lanes towards the late afternoon but I did the strategy (after grabbing our most wanted at 7) of grabbing the ride with the earliest return time, usually within 15-20 minutes and just plowing through the line up.
Now of course there were exceptions. At Epcot I grabbed Remy at 7 am, rope dropped Frozen, then grabbed a LL for Frozen as it’s my daughter’s favorite even though the return was at 2pm. But the modify feature is crucial. You just have to have patience and persistence. I had a Pan return time for 5:30 and it was 9:45 am at MK one day and that was just cramping our day since I couldn’t grab another for 2 hours. I just kept refreshing for about 20 minutes and was able to move it from 5:30 to 10:40.
I’m afraid if they start the pre booking feature again it will make Genie+ not worth it. That come day of you won’t have a chance to grab anything because all the slots will already have been filled and we just revert back to the disaster that was Fastpass+
Same! If something was gonna roll out I would rather they have done it earlier. Now I’m nervous I’ll be a test subject for something new on my trip next month… after I’ve spent the time learning this system now. HahaTotally agree- I don't want Genie+ to change. Not to derail subject, but was it true up to 40% of guests were using DAS pass (including friends/family).
That seems like a lot.
Not true in the slightest.
Disney doesn't release that kind of information. Len, touring guides, did limited checking which suggests 30 - 40% of LL guests were DAS.It’s not that much of a stretch. If it was somewhere in the realm 10% of guests had DAS and then each DAS guest had 4-6 additional guests with them, 40% of total guests isn’t that far off of a possibility
Yeah, everybody's dream park experience. Nose in your phone all day long refreshing it for 20 minutes at a time trying to modify reservations. Sounds really magical.

Nor ours. It's one of the most-used exaggerations saying how people spend every minute, all day, looking at their phone to make G+ work. That's just not the case. If it is, it's because the person isn't using it correctly or is learning on the fly. I'd expect a very large percentage of people looking at their phones during the day at WDW has nothing to do with the Disney app!It didn’t take away from my vacation.
