Me too. I got FOP day-of a couple times, too, just with random checking.
I once grabbed 7DMT on the bus when I was hopping from AK to MK! That was nice for sure!

I agreed with the other poster on the discussion of tiered aspect. Tiered before covid was centered around level of hotel, the amenities you got at the hotel. It was not determined by perks of the theme park. That has been a shift where evening EMH is only given to Deluxe. That is a fundamental shift in how Disney is doing business. And it won't make me stay on site whatsoever either, it's done the opposite. If they continue to give Deluxe and only Deluxe the theme park perks it will further cement never staying on site again. I'm under no illusion that ultimately matters to Disney but I do see where the other poster was coming from.then deluxe has to offer an experience worth more than a moderate/budget/offsite.
You might be thinking of Club Level, It didn't come automatic with Club Level you still had to pay for it at $50 per person per day and it came with minimum stay requirement I think. Would you be comfortable with Disney going that route with Genie+? Giving only those with Club Level certain Genie+ perks that non-Club Level guests don't get? And what I'm meaning is excluding those perks from anyone who isn't Club Level and only giving it to people of Club Level because that's more the track that Disney is on these days.but I also think I remember where if you had a certain tier of resort status, then you got extra FP pre-booking slots... then covid and no FP of any kind,
I do believe more of such is coming. Absolutely. But if they exclude perks from all else, their moderate and value hotels will suffer with bookings. You might be thinking of Club Level, It didn't come automatic with Club Level you still had to pay for it at $50 per person per day and it came with minimum stay requirement I think. I was asking how that poster would feel hypothetical regarding giving only Club Level something with Genie+ which would exclude them. I was asking based on their previous conversation with the poster where they were coming at it from a DVC owner perspective.I do believe more of such is coming. Absolutely. But, on the flip side of that, resort guests get early entry - there's already a benefit and a way to ride high-demand rides with little wait. Plus, not many rides get completely shut out early in the day - having competition from offsite guests doesn't mean on-site guests don't get to ride what they wantWith Genie+, offsite guest and onsite guest can both book LL at 7 am. I don't like that.
Early entry is useless to people who don't rope drop. But, on the flip side of that, resort guests get early entry - there's already a benefit and a way to ride high-demand rides with little wait. Probably not during slower times, which we travel. Not sure about heavy crowd times. But I take that SDD is unreal no matter when. But, on the flip side of that, resort guests get early entry - there's already a benefit and a way to ride high-demand rides with little wait. Nope. Not when I'm giving the mouse more money. Onsite guest hardly have much of any benefit now days. You don't like equal access?
True. That's why we always have rope dropped.Early entry is useless to people who don't rope drop.
If they scrap G+, I'm never coming back.So the fix - and yes, I believe there is one. Scrap G+ entirely. Have the headliners be VQ only (FoP, Guardians, RotR, SDD and TRON). VQ drop is 7a and 1p like it is now. If you miss the drop for whatever reason, sell LL for the headliners ONLY. All of the other lines are tolerable - ALL OF THEM. The standby lines only get ridiculous because G+ allocates the majority of seats on the rides to paying line-cutters. Stop it already!
They're not going to scrap G+....If they scrap G+, I'm never coming back.
