I am booked at GFCL for February..

How exciting....the GF is an amazing resort :thumbsup2.

I know I only have blonde highlights, but I think I'm having a "blonde moment" lol
What did I do? I want to fix it & work on it, but I'm unsure what I messed up-lol lol

You're too funny about the blonde comments :rotfl:. I'll try to convey what I want to say and I hope it makes sense ;).

Make sure you don't delete the
that starts and ends the post you are quoting. In the post you just did where you quoted me, it looks like you just deleted the
at the beginning of my post (which should read
mickeynut1....and some numbers said:
). For KOOK's post that you quoted above, it looks like you did the same thing, except deleted the
at the end. That's where I had the hardest time when I first started multi-quoting......I would always delete something at the beginning or end that needed to stay. I hope that makes sense.....if not, let me know and I'll try to explain it a different way if I can :goodvibes.

samnbilly- I'm noticing lots of CL stays in your signature. What's been your favorite? I've done CL at WL and YC and am really having a difficult time settling on one for next year. :goodvibes

My very favorite was RPC at GF..it was the most "magical" stay I feel we've ever had! We had a Castle View (now called Theme park view), but we requested it & we're so lucky to get it!!

BC is the family's favorite (although I DO love it for the location)-The lounge is small, but we love the relaxed feel of BC. (We're from the shore area) I love the way you can walk right thru to the International Gateway & go to Epcot.

Poly was also a wonderful stay. They have a lot of food choices there & the lounge is bigger & more crowded at times.
My kids loved the volcano pool & the CM's were great!
The only thing I didn't like was the longhouses. I don't know why.. (Ducking for the haters)
We had a screaming child right next door & I don't think we slept for days. We should've said something, but we didn't want to move.

My DD also has a severe Peanut/Tree but allergy. I informed IPO & they suggested I speak with the chef upon arrival.
Usually desserts are a no-no (as u know) & there were quite a few nights when they prepared something special for her to enjoy, which she was SO excited!
I like how when you make food reservations online, you can notify them of a food allergy & what it is..
Disney is so great about this!

Enjoy CL!! It's hard to turn back!!!!!

That's great to hear- thanks so much. We are still over 100 days out, but I am starting the process already. It's fun to try something new for this trip!

Hi! Anyone have knowledge of YC CL Standard rooms?
I found a decent rate for CL at the Yacht Club with the new early winter discount. It was only $40 more per night than the original resort rooms I was looking at. That would definitely be a good value for my family. They are standard rooms though. Does anyone know where the CL Standard rooms would be located? Still with potential parking lot/roof views?
Any help would be appreciated! I can't decide between staying at YC and enjoying the resort experience or saving the money and going with AoA or Pop and do some extras. YC is the only (non DVC) resort I haven't stayed at.
We've also done CL at Poly and AKL~
Thanks!

The YC CL is the fifth floor, which covers less footprint than the other floors. Roughly speaking, the standard view rooms are the ones that look over the entrance side (car port, entryway). Water view rooms look toward the lagoon/Boardwalk. We've stayed YC CL standard view many times, and were perfectly happy. You get a full balcony, and we've been able to see Wishes in the distance from our balcony. But if you would be super bummed by view of car entrance area, you might want to avoid it.

Hi! Anyone have knowledge of YC CL Standard rooms?!

We loved YC!

Personally, I enjoy the balcony, but the view doesn't matter much. My priority is to be close to the lounge. Standard rooms look towards the parking lot side of the hotel. (as opposed to facing the pool/lake/Epcot). The rooms are across the hall from each other. The view usually includes trees and landscaping, like the view from most condos. We don't end up using the balcony much, even when we have a great view.

We use the lounge when we want to relax or have a snack. With extended family, being able to meet up in the lounge is great. It's also great if part of your family wants to sleep. I find it more open than a balcony. Plus, they serve yummy treats!

You also get the extra staff. It's just so much fun being welcomed right away, and bypassing the check-in line. The CL staff at YC was super nice. You're going to love it.

I'd like to start by thanking PolyDec2008 and all those who worked so hard to make thread III so great!

All of Disney’s Deluxe resorts offer concierge level service for an additional fee. In recent years, WDW has preferred the term “Club Level” as there is also a Lobby Concierge, which has caused a bit of confusion from time to time.

The non-Disney owned Swan & Dolphin Resorts no longer offer Concierge or Club Level service.

Thanks to KatMark - "Coronado Springs Resort: Cabanas 9B is now “Club Service” for convention guests. When there is no convention being held at the CSR, the rooms in Cabanas 9B are available to regular resort guests (however, they do not have use of the Club Level services).

The Itinerary Planning Office (IPO) will not have your address and phone number if you book through a travel agent or online. You should call them and let them know you are coming. Most of us like to make contact with IPO as soon as we make our resort reservations.

Please do not contact the IPO until you have a confirmed reservation.

When sending an email, you should receive a generic response within several hours. This will let you know your email was received and that someone will be contacting you soon. Within a day or 2, you should receive a personalized email response from a member of the IPO team.

IPO is available to answer the phones 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern. (Thanks, PNO4TE)

TIPPING GUIDELINES

Tipping Guideline: Thank you to TheRustyScupper, for the following information (9/22/08)

1) Concierge (and Front Desk) CM's can be fired for taking cash tips.
2) They are supposed to refuse up to three times. If you ask a fourth time, they take it, but, they must immediately turn it over to a manager
3) The tip goes into a fund, and the manager buys donuts or coffee for all.
4) If they do not turn in the cash, it can be immediate termination.

NOTE: They can accept gifts of up to $75 value (like candy, doll, etc).

I've been told that they appreciate small gifts (especially edible gifts!) that represent where you come from, for example, I'm from Massachusetts, so perhaps something cranberry-based. I'd try to bring some lobsters, but I think that'd be a bit tricky to get through the airport security. ;)

Here's a link to the "Club Level Lounge Photos" thread started by CR Resort Fan 4 Life:

...but you can feel free to post pictures here too!

yes you do have the use of the club lobby at CSR if you are staying in the Business Class even if you are not at a convention

We are staying CL for the first time. We will be at CR Atrium CL as the second hotel of a split stay and I was wondering if we need to do online check in or is there something we need to do or a certain place to go when we arrive? Thanks!

I know there's been some concern around the CL service at BC, but I've just had a great experience and wanted to share. :goodvibes

I called yesterday morning to finalize our itinerary, and while I was on the phone, I asked our IPO what we should do with a few surprise packages I was planning for the kids. Wasn't sure whether I should have them delivered to the hotel, then put in our room after we arrive, or just pack them and bring them with us. I explained that they were birthday surprises - we couldn't justify Disney Florist with the $$$ we were spending on CL already, and so I'd planned to bring my own surprises and somehow unpack them while DH was entertaining the kids around the resort. But instead, she offered to have one of them do this for us, so we'll check in, drop everything off in the room, and then they'll pull one CM to set everything up in the room for us while we all get to run around the resort (or head to the park), so that it'll be ready when we get back. LOVE this, and it's exactly the kind of Disney magic I was hoping for when I booked CL. pixiedust:

Very happy, and feeling much more excited about our CL stay. :goodvibes

Just make sure you have linked both reservations to your MDE.

I like to do online check-in for all but it is not necessary.

For Atrium club let them know via email the time of your arrival and mode of transportation. Outside is a person with a clipboard you can inform of your CL arrival. They will either walk you to check in desk or to a person that will escort you to elevator to 12th floor.

I have stayed there before and have a res for 1/5 if any other Q's.

That is awesome!

I must say I am liking the CL already... Poly CL already replied to me re DD's allergies that they were noted on our reservations and that a week before our arrival they would contact the chef. And that every day we would be walked through what is safe for her. Love Disney. They make her allergy seem like a bonus, not a detriment!

Hi from CT! I'm looking to bring a little something for the CL staff when we arrive next week. I'm the worst gift giver and have no ideas! Any help would be appreciated!!

Thank you both very much for the information! It is really helpful! I would love the balcony and would not mind it facing the drive up entrance at all.
I will definitely seriously consider this in the future. Unfortunately, our plans have changed, and we will not be able to book this part of our trip like I had hoped (a pre-stay for Marathon Weekend). Hopefully another time!:)

Good evening all... DH and I are on the road to Alabama for a vintage motorcycle race and Auburn homecoming game..

I have booked my February GF stay and paid.. How long till I am contacted by IPO? Seems like WL contacted me in about 48 hours but I booked about 60 days before we arrive. Just wasn't sure what the timeline is

It varies, IMO. Some people get contacted right away, while others get something a few days later, while some don't get contacted at all. When I booked CR CL and Poly CL for our trip in December, I received an email from CR IPO within an hour or two of booking, while Poly IPO emailed me about 4 or 5 days later. You can always contact them first, especially if there is something you want/need them to do.

Ohhh, love this thread.

Ok, we are going mid-June, me, DH, DD (17) and niece (16). We are currently booked at CR TBV but see that WL CL is the same price. We've stayed at WL 3x before (not CL) but never stayed at CR. The price jump to CL at CR it too rich for us.

So, we are trying to decide which would be better. We aren't doing the dining plan so the snacks will help. but I heard the view from the balconies at WL CL aren't the best.

Any suggestions would be great!
