I'd love to have some of the views you mentioned. I'm not sure what other views are available for this room type?

We don't mind a far walk to the lounge. I usually send the Fam while I'm getting ready-lol!!

Did u take any pictures?
I know you said it was a far walk to the lounge, but how about to the buses or boat to DHS?
I was looking at pictures on the BWI information page & the room almost looked like it was a lockoff? What did u think?
Anything else you could tell me to pump me up 20 days before my trip, that would be awesome!!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you :goodvibes

I think those are my pix on the BWI thread. The suite we had did layout like a lockoff in that the 2nd bedroom has it's own entrance and it is basically the same as a typical standard room. However, there is no room number for that room outside the door so I don't think it can be booked without the connecting 1BR suite. Does that make sense?

As far as distance to transportation, this suite was about as far as you could get away from the elevators that bring you down to the lobby so it's a hike to get anywhere. But it was still so worth it, I didn't mind the walk!

We really enjoyed everything about BWI CL from the lounge to the offerings to the CMs. You will have an awesome time! :thumbsup2 Now I'm wishing I booked BWI CL for my upcoming trip. :rotfl:

As far as rooms go, we were also upgraded to a 2BR suite in the RPC at GF and we actually preferred the suite at BWI to the GF. Enjoy! :cool1:

Thanks so much for the info.
The extra space that the 2 Bdrm suite offers is worth the distance!

I was just curious if the room was like a 2bdrm DVC lockoff? It sounds like it. Just to make sure..it had a King in the one room & the 2 Queens in the other? Was there a jacuzzi in there or separate shower stall? I thought I saw this in pics as well. Just curious what the amenities were?

Wow!! That was so lucky to be upgraded to the 2bdrm suite @ GF RPC!! Can you tell me why BWI was so much better than GF RPC? I love GF! I'm not sure what it is, but I just love everything about it!

One more thing..were you able to see a little of Illuminations from the Balcony?

Sorry about all of the questions, but it's difficult to find info online!!

TIA for any info you can provide.. :-)

BTW-I forgot to mention

17 Days to BWI!!! Happy, Happy Happy!

Hey everyone!

I have just booked our first family Disney vacation and am freaking out!! We are booked for 6 nights @ CR CL TPV in April and I am so freaking excited!!

We are on the 12th floor and I am wondering if we should ask if there is anything available on 14? Is there a big difference between the two floors? There are four of us me, dh and two munchkins 4 & 2, so a king bed with a sleeper would work. Do you think it is worth asking?

Thanks in advance!!!:thumbsup2

The distance is totally worth the space! ::yes::

I've only stayed in a 1BR DVC so I don't know if it's the same.

The BWI suite had a living/dining area with a kitchenette in the main area. There is also a half bath right near the entry way. The balcony off of this area was huge and connected to the master. The master was accessed via french doors and had a king and a chair with an ottoman. The master bath did have a jacuzzi tub and large separate shower. The toiletries were upgraded in the master bath too. Full size and many things not found in regular rooms (I don't remember what they were though, just that it was cool. ;)) The 2nd bedroom had 2 queens, a daybed and the standard bath with the sinks outside. This room also had a balcony. You could see Illuminations from all 3 balcony areas, and there are armoires with TVs in all of the rooms.

I liked the BWI suite better because of the dining table. It made it nice for bringing food back from the lounge for the kiddos to nibble in their jammies :) The GF suite was bigger and more grand, but I just preferred the layout and decor at BWI.

We have been incredibly lucky in the upgrade department. :confused3 I don't know why or how, but in the past 2 years we have been given upgraded views twice at Poly CL, the 2BR suite upgrades at BWI and GF, and the biggest one was to the Presidential suite at YC. Maybe I should be playing the lottery :rotfl:

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. :goodvibes Congrats on your upgrade! :thumbsup2 You are seriously going to love, love, love it! :yay:

Ohhh, love this thread.

Ok, we are going mid-June, me, DH, DD (17) and niece (16). We are currently booked at CR TBV but see that WL CL is the same price. We've stayed at WL 3x before (not CL) but never stayed at CR. The price jump to CL at CR it too rich for us.

So, we are trying to decide which would be better. We aren't doing the dining plan so the snacks will help. but I heard the view from the balconies at WL CL aren't the best.

Any suggestions would be great!

WL CL is AMAZING! Their food is awesome-and I am talking "stick-to-your-bones" type food and wonderful homemade fresh cobblers every night! When we stayed there for 6 nights the last week in June this year, we had a SV. We actually could see some of Wishes and most definitely the Electrical Parade. The CM's were outstanding and turndown service was Great! They always left tons of chocolate on the bed every night that my son just loved!

We haven't stayed at the CR, but we've had 2 great stays at the WL, with one of those stays being CL. As the pp said, WL CL is amazing :thumbsup2. The food offerings are great, the lounge has plenty of seating that is arranged around the railing that overlooks the lobby, and the CL CMs are awesome. With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck :wizard:.

How exciting :yay:. We've never stayed at the CR, but from what I've researched between the two (we are booked Atrium CL for a few nights in December), the 14th floor has a few standard rooms and the rest are suites. The rooms come with either a king or 2 queens (no daybed in the queen rooms, but not sure if one comes in the king room). The 14th floor is Tower Club and guests on that floor have access to both the tower club lounge and the atrium club lounge on the 12th floor. A MK view is not a bookable category on the 14th floor and is just a request vs being able to book a TPV on the 12th floor. HTH :).

Sorry, I'm still working on my quoting skills, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for all of that info on the 2 bdrmsuite! I feel like a little kid on Christmas!!

As for your upgrades-I definitely think you should play the lottery! Scratch offs at least!!

How was the Presidential Suite?
Was your favorite one out of all the BWI Suite?

We are newbies to BWI, so I'm so excited! We also haven't been to Disney since 2008!!!

Thanks again!!

Hello. Going on an 8 day trip in May before a cruise. Already have a standard room-club level at Animal Kingdom Lodge but keep thinking about Beach or Yacht Club and staying club level. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Question here (and I apologize if duplication or a "bad" question) - my wife, son and I are planning a trip next fall, and intend to bring the two grandmas also (so 5 total). We intend to book 2 rooms, but were wondering if we could register all 5 of us in one room as club level, and then have 1 or 2 of us also registered in a non-club room (so at least 1 of us would have 2 simultaneous reservations). Thanks in advance.

If it were me, I'd keep AKL CL. We haven't stayed CL at any of your resort choices, but have stayed at AKL twice and BC once and if it were me, my choice would be AKL CL. We liked the BC and loved being able to walk to Epcot/DHS, but I have read a lot of negative reviews about BC/YC CL that it makes me not want to book either one. AKL CL, however, seems to get rave reviews, so I would choose that over BC/YC.

My guess is a person can't be on two reservations simultaneously, but I don't know for sure. Hopefully someone will be able to give a definite answer. You don't say which resort you are considering, but AKL and WL will not accommodate 5 people in a room unless your son is under the age of 3 as both resorts only accommodate 4 + 1 under 3 in standard room. The CL rooms are "standard", with the exception of a few deluxe rooms that accommodate 6. The monorail resorts and Epcot resorts accommodate 5 + 1 under the age of 3, but keep in mind that you will be charged an additional adult fee of $50/night ($25/pp) for two extra adults to be booked in the CL room.

Thanks - I called disney and cm told me same thing. Even if I am paying, I cannot be two places at once. We are looking at bc or wl - I noticed there is something called a deluxe room/junior suite at both places, which has club privileges at both places and about same price (MAYBE EVEN LESS) than renting a regular room and a regular club room - do either of those have two full baths (or even 1.5), and is there a divider between the two queen area and the one queen area (and are the one queen areas all just sleeper sofas?)

Yes, both the BC and WL have deluxe rooms that are CL, but they each only have 1 bathroom. The WL deluxe CL room is divided by french doors, separating the bedroom area (which has 2 queens) from the living room area (which has a queen pull out sofa). The BC deluxe rooms are not divided, but have 2 queens and I think a daybed or a queen pull out, but I'm not sure.

Here are links to information/pics of each:

Thanks- we may bite the bullet and just do two std club level rooms, or forego club level and two non-club rooms (which we did for our may 2013 trip)

If we are planning to go to two parks a day for most of our days during the trip, should we keep AKL or change to an EPCOT or MK area deluxe club level due to the distance?

I do think that the distance from AKL to other parks is a bit overstated but YMMV. I tagged the times from AKL to MK as 16 minutes (once on the bus) and 9 minutes to Epcot. It took 12 minutes to DHS and 5 minutes to AK.

I think the distance is more of a perception thing personally. I know that any of those travel times are far better than the 3 hours by plane that I need to travel to get that close. :goodvibes

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about AKL CL.

What parks do you go to the most? Do you have small children & go to MK a lot or do you just have adults in your party & spend most of your time in Epcot or DHS?

Where your family spends their time will be the deciding factor.

When my kids were little, we stayed at one of the Monorail Resorts, but now that they're both teenagers, we always stay near Epcot.

The great thing about WDW is that there is a place for everyone.

Anyone know if the Poly lounge has switched to Joffrey coffee? In July it was still Nescafé. Hoping for a switch by January!

I agree. We've had 2 stays at AKL and we thought the buses were great. In our experience, it didn't take any longer getting to any of the parks from AKL than it did from any of the other resorts we've stayed at. The buses only go to AKL and Kidani, so there's no sharing with any other resort(s). I, too, have read great things about AKL CL and I'm hoping to try it on a future trip. With that said, I would keep AKL.
