RachelTori - Maybe they don't. I didn't realize they didn't do dinner every day, just assumed. Will go and check that out right now.

You must be right, just went back and tried for lunch on the same day, and got it. Figure we'll eat lunch there that day, and can return to hotel in afternoon, eat CL snacks or have a CS dinner that night at AK as it has EMH. Thank you for that tidbit.

Kirbygump~ I have already corresponded by email several times with the BC IPO today and yesterday. I just emailed them at the address at one the first page of this thread.

I did ask them to see if they could get us LeCellier and if not get us a better time at O'hana for our anniversary dinner. I also asked them to cancel a few ADR's I had made and changed my mind about. Every meal cant be ts :rotfl:

It has been an hour or so since I emailed them no response yet. I will let you know what they were able to do.

Have you received the standard "we received your email" email yet? It says that they will be back in touch with you within 24 hours. If you need them sooner I'd suggest calling them at the number you wre given when they originally contacted you. I cookie cutter email usually arrives very promptly, if you haven't received it yet there may be a problem with anti spam software.

Good luck with LC and moving an 'Ohana reservation around. Both are hot commodities, I jsut received an email form the CR IPO that they were able to get 'Ohana forme, they had been trying for a month for our upcoming May trip.

luvthatdisney - hope you can get the ADR's. I had made mine every day from the 180 point mark as we were originally going to stay off site at the Carbie Royale. Just called CRO to request the Full Balcony though. So here's hoping :-)

I know this might be a hot button topic, but I really do not want to start any type of arguments, but....

I have never stayed Club Level and do not know who should and should not be tipped. I assume I would still need to tip the mousekeepers, but who else?? If anyone can provide guidance, I would appreciate it.

**I have started reading this entire thread, but I am only halfway through. It may answer my question, but I wanted to start my budgeting for miscellaneous expenses today.

ETA: I did go back and re-read the first page that mentions the Concierge (and Front Desk) CM's that cannot be tipped (or they have to turn it in). That is all it mentions, is there anyone else that I might need to tip???

Thanks!:hippie:

kirbygump~I could not get the ADR's I wanted, but did find some good alternatives. I can't say enough how great the IPO's at BC are - I usually get a response within 30 minutes on each email I have sent.

Aside from Mousekeeping, you only tip the "usual suspects" -- bell services, room service, etc. Concierge staffers are supposed to decline tips for their services. Have fun on your first CL stay and BC is a good one.

This is our first time staying CL so I am a bit nervous about using the IPO. Last trip I got up early and called to book all of our ADR's. I was able to get everything we wanted at the times we wanted. I hope the Poly IPO is able to do the same this time. I am a control freak and a constant planner. But today we finalized our ADR's and emailed the Poly IPO with our itinerary. Now all I have to do is not change my mind or obsess about our plans and wait until our 180 day. We have a month until we can book our ADR's but I wanted to get my request in to the Poly IPO so they can be prepared.

Do I need to call the Poly IPO a day or two before my 180 days to make sure they have my requests?

Please send Pixie Dust our way in hopes we get everything we want.

Does anyone know how the check in goes for AKL CL?
Our first stay there and want to know.... tks

I stayed at AKL CL in March this year. When I arrived at Jambo house, there as a podium to the left that had a sign indicating club level check-in. I arrived around 11:00 a.m walked over and the cm greeted me. She then arranged for my luggage to be stored and invited me to the club lounge. She pointed out key features of the Lodge on our way to the elevator that goes up to the club. I was then greeted by the club staff, asked if I would care for refreshments, offered a seat in a comfy chair and checked-in

I loved the AKL CL. The staff was wonderful and the lodge is amazing. I hope you have a great trip.

I would verify with them a day or two before your 180 to make sure they have everything. And don't worry--they're very friendly! Even if you change things up--several times:rolleyes1--they'll be happy to help. :thumbsup2 They've gotten me ADRs at times when they weren't available in the online system. Could be luck of the draw, or could be that they have better resources. Either way, they've been great!

Anybody out there who has been able to book a BWI CL with guaranteed king?

Also, any thoughts on a room location request? I understand there aren't many Crescent Lake view rooms. Is it worth requesting? I just want something pretty to look at, i.e., not the parking lot or the pool. Any other location tips? Request top floor for proximity to lounge?

Thanks.

Jennifer, I don't believe BWI has a "King Bed" reservation category that can be guaranteed, BUT, the BWI Innkeepers Club level does have an over-abundance of King rooms they typically try to push couples into since they seem to run short of the "2 Queens" rooms for families in the Club.

Just be sure to ask the IPO to get the "King Room" request added to your ressie.

In regards to your room location request, you would need to request "Boardwalk View" if you don't want a pool/garden view. There are no parking lot views in the club level rooms, but you may want to specify to not be placed over the ESPN club area. I've read some disappointing comments about rooms down on that end of the building with views of ESPN Club's dumpsters and whatnot...

The top floor request is up to you depending on whether a ride on the elevator each trip to the Club room might be a bother. There's a trade off if you're really wanting a shot @ a BW view room since that would eliminate quite a few more possible rooms for you.

Good Luck!

Is there a seperate check in area for BC CL also?

If you are using ME someone will be there waiting to take you up to CL check in. If you are driving you just tell them at the gate and they should have someone waiting at the front to take you.

Kdub, THANK YOU! This information is fantastic. I am excited that there are no parking lot views. Also, you make total sense on the floor request and I will definitely skip that. Your answer really made my night. :-) Thanks again!

make it VERY clear when you get to check in. my sister and i stayed there club level last year, i made the request for two queen beds when i booked the room since we're sisters NOT a couple (and was told no problem), made the request via the concierge (was told no problem), made the request when we checked in via concierge (was told no problem)... got back to the hotel room after a long first day at the park and ... problem. (first of all our key wouldn't open the door and it took almost an hour to get someone to let us in) and boom... king room. they told us use the roll away... um didn't pay club level prices to sleep on a hide away bed. so with lots of drama they moved us the next day to a double queen room. i know they don't guarantee but omg... no problem means no problem.

I believe I read MOST of this thread and it is great. I know yogurt is available in the lounge in the AM - but is there vanilla yogurt available? Its silly and it certainly won't make or break the trip, just curious!

We'll be at the BC CL in 61 days! :cool1:

TY! Lisa

HI!

A few questions here. Have read a ton of this thread and some people seem to love BWCL and others think it is too removed.

We are going to WDW in October and are wondering if anyone has been to BWCL in the past few months and may be able to help us know what are the nighttime offerings?

Second, I am wondering when it is only 2 of us vs a family is it worth staying CL when you pay the same amount regardless of how many people are in the room.

Last question is, about how long of a walk is it from the lobby to the CL? Wondering if I should count on it being easy to get from pool to lounge for drinks, snacks etc or is it such a long jaunt people decide not to take advantage of the offerings?

Booking today and torn between BWV reg room or CL.:worship:

We stayed BW CL for the first time 2 weeks ago. This was our first trip CL so I have nothing else to compare it to. It was me, my husband and our 3 sons ages 14, 12 and 8. The lounge did come off sort of stuffy, but since I had read so much on this thread I didn't let it bother me. It was very quiet there the two nights we went. We really enjoyed the lounge though. If I wouldn't have read this thread I probaly wouldn't have helped myself to all the snacks and beverages, I would have felt self conscience. I figured I paid quite a bit to stay there and I was going to enjoy it as much as I could. My husband loved it he really liked the breakfast offerings and he enjoyed just being able to help himself in the mornings. Our kids really thought it was cool to get lemonade in the afternoons and soda whenever they wanted. We would stay CL again, maybe not every trip but at least once more before the kids start leaving home. We will be going alone for our wedding anniversary next year and I need to decide if we want to do the Boardwalk again or try Grand Floridian or maybe Poly, we will do CL since it is just the two of us. The walk from the lounge to lobby is less than 5 minutes, elevators were very quick.
