We are staying May 26th -June 2nd at BWI CL. Will my DH be able to get a beer during the day before the actual evening service? Will he be allowed to take a few beers back to our room?

I don't want to be asking for things if it would be considered bad etiquette.

Everest/Space Mountain :scared1: It's a small world is my limit! lol

Tough call re. La Nouba, a 30% code is a great score but if none of you have been before maybe you might want to wait? I'm really no help there I'm afraid.

Hope to see you too - not long now! :dance3:
My oldest DD is my daredevil. I was a real ride wimp before I had to go on the rides with her. I didn't even really like TT or Goofy's Barnstormer. I think I've over come my fear of ToT on my last trip with her. Joe won't ride that or RnR which still scares me.

Hope the ash stays away!:wizard: Two coworker friends flew to Italy last night. They didn't know if they were going to be able to go or not til Wednesday.

Haven't been to BWI CL yet but do know this is allowed and I have done it at AKL & Poly. They will ask if you're going to the pool so they can give you a plastic cup-no glass allowed at the pool.:drinking1

Taking food and beer back is fine, taking the wine or spirits is a no no.EDIT(taking the whole bottle which some people do, taking a glass is fine)

Two ways of dealing with this: 1, just ask for a beer in the afternoon and I've always found CMs happy to oblige; 2, during the evening service just take a bottle or two and put them in your room fridge for the next afternoon. I tend to do the second and have noticed alot of folks doing likewise.
Last week at GF RPC we returned home from the parks one evening around 9:30 and fancied a drink of wine. Of course, it was put away but the CMs seemed happy to get us a couple of glasses.

I posted this as a thread but didn't get any feed back. Have any of you CL people taken the Wildlife Discovery Excursion at the AK? It is only available to people staying CL. I can't seem to get much information on it. Thanks

Have done it 3 times and really enjoyed it. It is offered most days, twice a day (maybe at 10 and at 1?) The tour is the same route as the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. However, you are on a bus with your own driver and guide (and they have all been very knowledgeable), the tour is limited to 15 people, and it makes very frequent stops for photo ops and questions. The tour is about an hour long, and Concierge will make the reservations for you. Think it was about $50 per person cost-wise. It does not include park admission, so you would plan to do it on a day when you were going to be in AK, since you meet your guide inside the park.

I have done the excursion with adults only, and also taken the grandkids--they enjoyed it as well.

Thanks you so much! I'm really looking forward to this excursion. I was really hoping for positive feedback.

I know that CL doesn't offer bottled water anymore. But, is there a dispenser of spring (not filtered tap water) on the buffet? I'm trying to decide if we should buy a case of water for the room.:flower3:

In November at WL they had large chilled glass bottles of water. I've heard of people asking for the entire bottle and being allowed to take it back to their room. Remember though, glass bottles aren't permitted at the pool or in the theme parks.

A few years ago in the lounge at the Contemporary we asked for some water because they needed to replace the bottle of Evian that they kept in their lounge, however the Cast Member came out with another bottle of it and said we could keep it.

We've done this a couple of times and think it very worthwhile. Its nothing like the safari 'ride.' The guides are extremely knowledgable and provide lots of information about the animals and how they are cared for. There are also lots of stops at key vantage points where you can view the animals and take photos. The only disturbing thing is that you are frequently overtaken by vehicles from the ride and folks in these vehicles seem more interested in what you're doing than in the animals!

I have a bit of a strange question....

Today I bought the 2010 Birnbaum WDW guide book, even though we have been many times, I love these books! I did notice a coupon for the fishing excursions in the back of the book. I already have an excursion booked for my DH. The coupon states you have to note on the ressie that you have the coupon to be able to use it. Since I have already made this ressie, can you add it later? Is this something the IPO can do for me?

Saving 20% off this would be great and well worth the price of the book!

Does anyone know?

Quick question. My son and family are leaving in the morning for Poly Club level, and I thought I had seen that there was a refrigerator close to the lounge where they could grab a water or soft drink to take to the pool or a park. Is that still true, or do they need to plan to purchase some water? And do they need a refillable cup? Thanks in advance.

All of Disney’s Deluxe resorts offer concierge level service for an additional fee. In recent years, WDW has preferred the term “Club Level” as there is also a Lobby Concierge, which has caused a bit of confusion from time to time.

Do you mean additional fee as in additional fees beyond the $$$$$ you've already paid for booking club level? We booked club level because of this service, as well as the lounge food and beverage services. Also, I noticed wine and beer in some of the photos. Is that an additional charge?

We're CL virgins but have had many friends stay at CL and LOVED it. We actually had some friends tell us to not get the DP at CL because of all the great stuff the provide.

Thanks to all in advance. :thumbsup2

Sorry for the confusion. The price you are quoted for Club Level is the price you will pay -- there are no additional fees. Club Level includes the services of the IPO, the use of the Club Level Lounge (including all the food & beverages they offer), the services of the Lounge CMs, and other perks, such as the WDE, which are only available to CL guests.

There is a Lobby Concierge (tickets and dining reservations) which every guest may use. Occasionally, when someone refers to "Concierge" there is some confusion as to which one they are referring! I believe my post was trying to clear that up for someone.
