I went ahead and upgraded! When I booked GV CL I used a pin code. The CM allowed me to use it on the upgrade!
We have been going to WDW once a year for the last 6 years. This is the first time we're staying CL. I figured that since my DH went along with it, I might as well take advantage and just go for it.
Now I need to invest in a better camera. I want a lot of pictures of the castle and the beach. I'm truly on cloud 9! :cloud9:

Please help. :flower3: I booked a regular room at BC for Sept 11th-18th with 40% off pin in January. Last week, I called and upgraded to Lagoon/Lake view room. When I check my confirmation, it now says "Room Type: Deluxe - Water or Pool View" (I cut/pasted from website). According to Teena on BC/YC thread that would be an upgrade to CL room which is some major pixiedust: for us. Now, my question. I would like to call and confirm that we were upgraded but I am scared that if I call I will lose the upgrade. What would you do? TIA

Well in the past a few days before arriving at the Polynesian when we had a Club Level - Garden View reservation, we got a new confirmation for a Club Level - Lagoon View and it was also mentioned on the WDW website when I went to type up our confirmation number. When we checked-in when we didn't mention what we saw and the Cast Member once again said we got upgraded, so this type of thing has happened to us. However if you are still not sure I would call now because if it is a mistake better to find out now and not when you arrive.

I don't believe that you would've been upgraded already for a trip in September but I could certainly be wrong. Did you book yourself or through a TA or group? How much did you pay? You might want to research the rack rates to determine exactly what you've paid for. If you booked Standard and your confirmation says Water or Pool view then that in itself would represent an upgrade.

FYI, I have BC Waterview CL booked for next month and my confirmation says:

Resort Name: Disney's Beach Club Resort
Resort Category: Deluxe Resorts
Room Type Lagoon View - Club Level

In my experience, "Club level" should be somewhere on your confirmation if you have been upgraded to Club level.

edited to add:
Just plugged in some dates (at rack rates) for the BC. Here are the room types:

Standard View Included

Date Rate per Night
Mon, May 31 $ 390.00
Tue, Jun 01 $ 390.00
Wed, Jun 02 $ 390.00

Water or Pool View +$287 †

Garden View - Club Level +$489 †

Deluxe Room - Club Level +$743 †

Lagoon View - Club Level +$776 †

1 Bedroom Suite - Club Level +$945 †

2 Bedroom Suite - Club Level +$3,780 †

Good luck.

We were booked atrium club level standard (bay lake view) at the CR for May 27-June 1. I've been calling for the past few days to see if theme park view was available with my existing code ( the one that expired March 27). Well today I called to change over to MYW and pay in full and the theme park view actaully came available for$50 more per night! With that code I managed to save around $2K off of rack rate! Whoo hoo!

That's an amazing deal.

I know, I mean I knew we had a good rate but I'm paying $3400 for 5 nights over a holiday weekend with 4 adult 3 day hoppers, and rack rate was $4900, so actually $1500 saved, which will more than pay for DDP and fuel

Wow! Sweeeet! Now, that's SAVING some bucks! :thumbsup2

You know, that's why we get excited over the pincodes, AP and % off discounts ! Free dining doesn't come close! :sad2:

I agree, free dining doesn't interest me as w book deluxe and rack rate is a killer! I'd much rather get the 35% off rack rate and pay for my food!

I've used the "search" tool and haven't found an answer, so I guess I'll post my question here.

If you stay CL, do you get fitted sheets? This is a biggie for me -- I can't sleep on a bunched up slipping around flat sheet on the mattress. I take a bottom sheet with me whenever I travel. If I were to be able to stay CL at some future date, do I need to bring my sheet? (Seems like it would be sort of insulting to bring it, but then I feel that using flat sheets is simply inconsiderate on the part of the hotel management toward their guests.)

This is our first time staying CL but on our last trip we stayed at Poly in a standard MK View room. I originally booked a standard MK view for this trip but then upgraded to CL when they added the MK view category. Previously I had heard that some of the CL Lagoon View were obstructed by trees so you could not see MK. But this year they added a new category for the unobstructed rooms.

For me being able to wake up in the morning and see the Castle is so magical. On our last trip I would get up before everyone else and sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and see the monorail make its first run to MK. On our last night we came back to the room and packed then sat on the balcony eating ice cream and watch the water parade and wishes. The best way to end a wonderful trip. Since then MK View is the only room I will pick.

I say if you can afford it go for it. You won't regret it.:wizard:

I originally booked a Poly LV, then decided to book GV CL.....THEN when they offered the 40% deal in January, I called again and upgraded us to TPV CL. I couldn't resist!!! I'm also one that enjoys a great view and love sipping coffee in the morning, too. Can hardly wait to see the castle at night!!! The kids can sleep and DH and I can enjoy the magical view together  Will take TONS of pictures and post when we get back. ONLY 33 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

pwdebbie- No, no fitted sheets, and all CL beds are triple sheeted!
Usually the bedding and linens are finer than other rooms.
I am usually a "fitted" gal myself, but have NEVER had a problem with my CL sheets being all over the place, IUKWIM. :)

HTH.

subscribing.... 1st time CL here !!! we are booked 2 nights BC CL standard room at the end of our august trip (after 7 nights at POR) I really wanted standard room CL at Poly but there werent any available with my pin code and LV and TPV are out of the budget. and last summer we stayed at BC and my kids loved SAB. heck, my oldest son doesn't even want to go back to disney thinking we aren't staying at BC and would be staying at POR (he got hurt there the last time we stayed there). SO being that its basically resort days, not planning on parks unless we can get the WDE on the day we switch resorts as there's a chance we wont have a room to be in anyway. I also asked IPO to see if they could get the kids on the pirate cruise on one of our days there. So, in addition to the WDE and the kids pirate cruise those were the only things I asked of them on the planning form. How long does it take to hear back from them on that type of thing?
I really hope we will be as happy with BC CL as we were with regular BC last summer.

Kelly

Hi! Little nervous here. For some reason yesterday I decided to check into rebooking our Nov. 2010 trip at Poly CL for earlier. Did some research and calls and now we are going May22-29 2010 GF SugarLoaf, as long as DH can get it off. Was wondering if I could get feeback on the CL GF as we loved the Poly CL. TIA:) By the way I now have to see what is left for dining at this late date:scared1:

Good luck getting your ADR's there should be something open for you. My hairdresser just got back and said that a few of the ADR's he made got cancelled but he got in a different places just by calling the same day, and he ate at very nice places.

We are going the same time you are May 22nd - 30th:dance3: We debated on the GF CL, but since we were there in October, we went with the Poly CL. We loved GF and can't wait to go back!!! I'm sure there will be ADRs left...the crowd calendar for that week look great!!!! 4's, 5's and 6's....We will see if that holds true.

Kelly, I'm not sure there's a standard answer to your question. It seems to vary by IPO. Did they acknowledge receipt of the Planning form? (I don't ever use those forms, I always list my requests in an email; then talk to them on the phone to give my CC#.) If you don't hear back from an IPO within 2 days, I think you should send an email to inquire about the status of your previous requests. Don't ever feel that you're imposing on the IPO or making a pest of yourself -- they are there for YOU!! ;)

Oh, and congrats on booking your first CL stay (my guess is it won't be your last!! :rolleyes1)

Our first time staying BC CL was in 2008. We loved it so much we stayed there in 2009 and we're booked it again for July 2010. The BC IPO staff is wonderful and is the CL staff (and of course our very own Teena)!

HI! Thanks for the luck:thumbsup2 I e-mailed the IPO with some dining requests, so hopefully I will get at least a couple made. For the ones I really want I guess I will just keep checking and hope for a cancellation like your hairdresser:)

I tried to get Poly CL since my family and I loved it last time but no GV left. So I new my DH wanted to try the GF CL, and they had a room:banana:
I also went and subscribed to touring plans because I had to know the crowd numbers. I was very excited to see the 4's, 5's and 6's:woohoo: Almost as good as our original week in Nov. 2010:banana: I sure hope the numbers stay the same, I have looked at the numbers about 3 times today:rotfl:
