Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

I have a Beach Club question and I apologize in advance for it's stupidity - but is Club Level an actual area or designation? By that I mean, if I was to book a GV CL room would I be in a garden view room located anywhere in the BC resort with access to the 5th floor lounge or would I be in a room on the 5th floor because all of the Club Level rooms are on this floor? Thanks so much, this is completely new for me and just a slight possibility at the moment.

All gardenview and waterview CL rooms are located on the 5th floor. The only time you would be staying CL and not on the 5th floor is if you were in a deluxe club level room or a suite.

My DH just booked a short adults=only BWI CL trip for my birthday. Wooohoooo! (Of course, I do not know who would watch the kids so my happiness might be premature.

Anyway, the Disney CM told DH that the only thing left to book with our pin was "standard club level with king bed".

Was this a misinformed CM? You cannot guarantee a king bed at the BWI CL, correct? If the answer is no, I will call back and add king bed to the requests.

I haven't received our emailed confirmation to see if it mentions it - with the same regularity of the sunrise, Disney fails to send the promised confirmation - and DH left the reservation number at work (really useful for making ADRs sitting on his desk, grrr). I think I need to make all future reservations!

ETA: The Disney gods must have heard me because three minutes after I wrote this, the confirmation hit my inbox. As I suspected, no mention of king bed ... it just says "Boardwalk Inn - standard - club" I would still like confirmation for my own peace of mind if you know anything. Thank you!

We're going to be staying AKL CL for 4 nights in Sept/Oct before moving over to the Poly. Two of those days, we will be heading to Universal. Does IPO handle any kind of transportation (arranging a cab/car service, or car rental)? We've never stayed CL before, so all of this is new to me!

You will love BC CL. In 2008 we got a "magical" upgrade to BC CL. Well now we are spoiled. We keep coming back to BC CL. I guess they know what they are doing when you get a free upgrade - makes it hard to go back a regular room!!!

I have to brag on the Poly IPOs....they have been sooooo great . Long story short....we are taking the grandparents with us this time. Grandpa now wants to experience the Pirates League with his grandsons. We have ressies for my two boys, but not for Granddad I emailed the IPO and asked if we could get my dad in with my sons. Unfortunatley, they did not have any spaces available (we leave in 30 days) They contacted me yesterday and got Granddad in!!! I reminded my father that he will have to walk around MK with his face painted but he said it will be worth it for his grandchildren! The Poly IPOs have been super quick in answering all my request. Wish I could meet them face to face to tell them thanks!

Awww, that's so sweet! YAY to the IPO!!! I hope you'll post a picture here of Granddad and the boys!!

I did the same thing today! BC GV-CL for our trip in June. I had been calling for the last 2 weeks to upgrade, but they only had lagoon view each time. I guess someone cancelled! I can't believe it!! I have always wanted to stay CL, but never had a 40% off PIN before. That PIN is what allowed us to be able to stay CL this time.

I just booked our room at the WL CL today with the 40% pin code also. People would probably think that I'm nuts though because we booked the bounceback for free dining last year while we were there and I just cancelled it. I'll take CL over free dining any day!

I originally booked a Poly LV, then decided to book GV CL.....THEN when they offered the 40% deal in January, I called again and upgraded us to TPV CL. I couldn't resist!!! I'm also one that enjoys a great view and love sipping coffee in the morning, too. Can hardly wait to see the castle at night!!! The kids can sleep and DH and I can enjoy the magical view together Will take TONS of pictures and post when we get back. ONLY 33 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

pwdebbie- No, no fitted sheets, and all CL beds are triple sheeted!
Usually the bedding and linens are finer than other rooms.
I am usually a "fitted" gal myself, but have NEVER had a problem with my CL sheets being all over the place, IUKWIM.

Totally agree. I haven't had a single problem with a flat sheet in CL slipping.

They probably will if you ask. I was able to get them to get a babysitter for DN5 while there - they have a big list of all different kinds of services and phone numbers they can call. The one fellow I was speaking with said that they do arrange for all different kinds of things in the Orlando area. The AKL CL staff is super helpful!

Anybody out there who has been able to book a BWI CL with guaranteed king?

Also, any thoughts on a room location request? I understand there aren't many Crescent Lake view rooms. Is it worth requesting? I just want something pretty to look at, i.e., not the parking lot or the pool. Any other location tips? Request top floor for proximity to lounge?

I will be glad to let you know how we like it. When are you going? Our actual anniversary is not until August, but I work in a school and cannot go that time of year. I have never been in June, but we have no other option. I am so excited I could just scream, but if I do my family will know something is up. Got to keep a lid on this one!

Are you sure Tusker House has dinner that day? Often times they serve breakfast and lunch only.

Yes, definitely ask for IPO's assistance!
