Computer KEYBOARD problem for my latop.

I have a BARELY used Sony Vaio. I say that becasue it would surprise me that there is something wrong to some degree, even though it is 1.5 years old.

It seems to be problem free except that you can be typing and then all of the sudden your cursor can be anywhere... 3 lines up, 4 lines down, back at the beginning of the line......

Might this be a simple setting problem? Other than this, the computer seems fine.

I use a wireless mouse. The only time that happens to me is when I have accidentally turned on the touchpad mouse on my HP Pavilion.
