Complimentary refrigerator @ Value resorts!

Not sure if I understand that train of thought. How would it be dangerous to know my sons name?

I love you son's "new" name!:lmao: If you could change my SIL's name to something equally as awesome (in my quote within your post) that would be great.

I'm pretty sure it is true but hopefully we can get confirmation from folks going around the end of September. :)

You have pictures of young kids in your signature, you mentioned your son's name, first and last and you have discussed in at least decent detail where you live. There are some real freaks out there... It as just a word of caution you can do as you wish.

Ahhh, I see now. I misunderstood before since I do not allow my kids to play outside alone or without supervision. :) And my kids have always been pretty good at not going up to strangers. :)

It should also be taken to PM, because it is rather annoying to the posters who are not part of the private conversation.

In fact, it is part of the DIS guidelines.

6. NO PERSONAL MESSAGES
The types of posts that we like to see on the DIS are those that everyone can participate in and benefit from. When a post is intended for an individual, it creates a problem and can be very awkward for both the person you're publicly contacting as well as others. Did you know that you can easily get in touch with almost anyone via the DIS Private Message system? Simply click on the name of the person and you should see a link for sending them a private message and/or email. If you come across a situation where the person has blocked these options, we're sorry, but you still can't use the boards to get in touch.

goofypop, i might be one of the only other people on this board that has ALSO lived in Sellersburg. :)

it was a looong time ago in a galaxy far away but live there I did.

I grew up in Sellersburg!! Now in New Albany, but my parents live in Sellersburg still.

Sorry, new and didn't realize I was breaking a rule until I read the whole way through.

We better get this back on topic before we get handcuffed here. ;)

I saw another poster here say that they may not have freezers in them. Really? I thought all of these types of mini fridges had freezers. I'd like to freeze a bottle of water for the parks. :( But I guess I can't bite the hand that feeds me. I'll take a free fridge.

Back to the original subject...This would be really cool if they did start putting fridges in all the value rooms. And if my little old fridge swap (running now with same organizer for over 5+ years) had anything to do with it -GREAT! If they don't have a freezer compartment I will have to do some serious thinking about keeping my fridge swap going. ;)

I remember when they added fridges to all the moderate rooms-I believe there was a room increase around the same time?

POP has been really great about letting us store our fridge when not in use. And the times when I have had to call to locate it, they have been very helpful. If they start inc. fridges in all the rooms I wonder if they will still allow fridges to go into LS?

I guess time will tell if this is for real. We are there in only 31 days so I will know soon. And if not, at least I have my fridge to use again (for the 6th time):cloud9: I know there were many disappointed guests who didn't get to use a fridge for free so I am sending some magic your way that this rumor is true. :wizard:

Oh, and personally, I have saved $600-$700 by using my own fridge swap. Not really that much of a pain to save so much cash.

I wasn't saying that it was a pain for you, but a pain for the men and women at bell services. Although they may not have said to you that it was a problem, I can assure you that it was a huge hassle. I also didn't say it to start something, just pointing out the obvious.

If you are only using water, put it way in the back and turn the fridge all the way up. Don't open for a day or so. Won't be totally frozen water, but will be really cold close to frozen water.

I would still be leery until one of the big sites announce it. The other site, while I am sure is a great site, is still a TA. So they are in the business to get business. But if this does turn out to be true, it will definitely get their name out there in a good way.

I also hope this is true. We are doing a split stay and planned to take a cooler to use at Movies. If there is a fridge we won't have to deal with a cooler and ice and that would be great. :goodvibes

the fridge is on of the costs we take into consideration when deciding between val/mod... being free may bring us back to the value side of things... hmmm...

and I can't get this verified. He said I was the first one to ask him about this rumor.

I, too would be very pleased if this were true. All we can do is hope, now.

Please, pretty please share with us when you can verify this with your stay at a value. TIA

Thanks but we like putting our drinks for the evening and the juice for the morning in them so that won't work. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

They wouldn't tell you anything if you called. I received a return phone call about the use of late FPs and whether it is allowed and I asked a couple of other questions and got the run around on those as well. The quote from the TA said:
We called to confirm with Disney's inside sales and with management at one of the resorts.

So, like you I really do hope this is a fact because it will saves us almost $100 on the trip. But We'll have to wait for someone going toward the end of the month to confirm a free fridge.

Called Disney yesterday about a room change, asked about the fridge rumor. Castmember had never heard it but she guessed that someone had been talking about the new Pop Animation resort opening in Sept. They will be family suites and have fridges. So, someone probably overheard that Pop will be getting fridges, assumed that would apply to all Values, including the first Pop, but this is not the case. Sorry guys.

That's not what we're talking about. Of course the suites will get fridges. this was a question asked directly to Disney's inside sales and with management at one of the resorts. Not a front end CM with 4 hours left to go on her shift. :)

Again, hopefully it is true and the TA service was correct. But we'll have to wait to see.

I'm not going to be much help- we leave in 10 days and when we get to Pop we have requested a fridge for medical need, which is no charge anyway. But I would like to know if this is standard because that'll save me from having to go through the trouble of requesting it. :goodvibes

And, the Art of Animation resort had nothing to do with Pop, it doesn't have Pop in the name either, they are 2 completely different resorts. Most of the rooms there wil be Family Suites, so a fridge is included. I haven't heard about the non-suite rooms.

Sorry, didn't realize you had spoken with someone higher than a CM. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread. :headache:
