Complimentary refrigerator @ Value resorts!

They just renovated the dresser/tv combo last year at Pop. There is a section of it that to me looked like the ideal spot for a refridgerator on the bottom. May need to take out the shelf if it's a taller fridge.

Anyone else have the Mousekeepers keep moving the tissue box? I always put it down lower for my niece, otherwise she won't use them if she can't reach them. It was always moved back each day-maybe they get in trouble if it isn't a certain way. Kind of annoyed me as I was always having to move it every day for 14 days.

I do believe, if I am not mistaken, that all of Disney's entertainment centers/dressers are ordered with that small alcove built into them so that they can remove the shelf and place a fridge in there. We had a fridge ordered and placed in our room back in 2007 and that is where they put it. It is also in the same spot in the Moderates.

Use 3M tape to keep the box where you want it. That might get their attention. LOL

We had a coffee pot in our room every time we have stayed at Pop:confused3

No, I think you're mistaken. No coffee pots at POP. I used to bring a little hot pot and a coffee press. This year, I'm picking up bottled water at Walmart, cream and I already have my Iced Via's ready to go.

The fridge would come in handy for the water bottles, but no biggee. I have "foam cooler" on my list of things to get at Wal Mart, too. ;)

If you are only using water, put it way in the back and turn the fridge all the way up. Don't open for a day or so. Won't be totally frozen water, but will be really cold close to frozen water.

.

(And I'm turning into my husband who owns an appliance repair company....) No, no... this is a BAD idea. Well, unless you don't care if these things start breaking left and right. Don't do this.

i am 99% sure that both appy and gratuity were included in 2007 w/free dining... we took my mom and she just kept marveling at how it was all free... and i know we had appetizers!

we had the dp in 2007 and the apps and gratuity was there. it was too much food for us.:rotfl:

I am almost 100% sure it wan't included when we went in Dec 2006, because I remember making envelopes with our tips in them for each restaurant. I am sure the Apprtizer was removed at the same time, but we usually go to the buffets, so no appetizer anyway. I may be wrong, but I was almost certain it was 2006 during our 2nd trip. We had an AP with TiW card in 2007.

I doubt that Disney will be renovating all the value rooms just to incorporate a refrigerator into the decor. More than likely, the value fridges will be plunked in a corner spot where they will not be tripped over. Just like they always have.

Perhaps years from now, as rooms are being renovated, they might find a way to make the look more streamlined. But don't expect Disney to make it a top priority now.

Pop was just renovated last year and I believe the space in the cabinets is large enough for a fridge.

If you look here http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...agespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/07Dining.pdf you will see that the 2007 DDP did include the appetizers so would also have included the gratuity. They stopped this in 2008.

You're right. The space is large enough for the mini fridges. Disney purchases these cabinet/dressers this way exactly for this reason. :)

Claire&TheBoys - We did it the same time as you......too much food though I think, looking back. It was lovely because it was free, but I don't think I would pay for it now.

Im just curious if we have any free fridges yet at the values?

Im going in November and would love to save that money :thumbsup2

We had a fridge for medical reasons last week at Sports, and it was simply placed on the floor. The space that looks fabulous for a fridge, in the entertainment unit, has a big horizontal shelf that would keep the fridge from going in there.

We were lucky enough to have a fridge swap last trip. Next week we are taking an Igloo electrical cooler. Keep things cool on the ride down, and power adapter for the room.

Luckily, we were in a swap. Hope this is true, because it would be great to have one guaranteed for the time we are there next year. The swaps are a great opportunity to meet other DIS'ers, though!

We were at Pop 9/24-10/2, no fridge. Really could have used one, too, can't tell you how much food we had to toss! :(
