Completely Immersive Star Wars Experience

I think that both would do well. Personally I would beg, borrow and steal to go to Middle Earth. If only.
It would be really cool to have an all immersive Middle Earth experience. That is one I would definitely nerd out over. I know it's blasphemous, but I am not into Harry Potter at all. I like Star Wars, but I think only Narnia, Luster, and the Redwall universes even approach my love of Tolkien's concoction.

The Tolkien franchise heirs will sell their souls to someone at some point and my guess is soon...

...their will be more movies or reboots at some point and the property lends pretty well to theme parks.

It may not be in the US...but it will happen.

She's 27...don't put her on the downside of the mountain yet...

And you missed the part where it's a purely HYPOTHETICAL pairing :cloud9:

The book character is much older than Emma Watson, who you are now clearly referring to. Not knowing your age, I won't speculate, but Emma Watson is not Hermione Granger. I do like her a lot though-especially her activism.

I would have loved to have seen what Disney would have done with Harry Potter. I'm not a fan of most of Universal's rides and stores.

Most of their rides just shake you around in front of screens for about five minutes. They no longer have enough different types of attractions like they originally had with "Jaws", "Ghostbusters" and "Kongfrontation". They seems like they are unable to do good animatronics in their rides. All of them stink except for the ones in line for Gringotts.

The Harry Potter stores are way too small as well. There was so many people crammed into one I couldn't even open the door. The line inside it wrapped around the tiny space, and that was in September, which is supposed to be the dead time. The inhabitants were practically smooshed against the glass windows. So I just used a few curse words and closed the door.

Disney would have probably made a boat ride with realistic animatronics. And probably best of all, they would have made a Hogwarts resort. Hardcore fans could have eaten in the great hall depicted in the films. The stores would have been immense too. Yet another thing Disney has over Uni is their street performers. Universal's acts seem so lame like "Straight Outta Food Truck". I'll take the "Dapper Dan's" over them anyday.

The one conjecture I can agree with is the stores in the original section are so freakin tiny. I get it they wanted the "realism" feel, but i can't enjoy the realism if I'm stuck behind two strollers wedged together

I like the detailed analysis...I just don't think it's accurate. I honestly don't think disney would have done better with Harry Potter...remember part of it is that they repurposed things due to space. They did a pretty good job. Especially with the connector. Universal is pushing boundaries enough to hold their own.

Disney's rides...if you notice...involve putting people in front of screens too...they just don't shake you as much.

You're grinding my gears today Locked. Don't you know you're supposed to agree with everything I say?

I think Disney would have done a much better job. Universal couldn't make a good animatronic if I had a gun against a Minion's head. Kong's head, Cat and the Hat and Jurassic Park all look like they belong in an abandoned cheap amusement park.

Their rides are totally uncomfortable too. Out of the two main Harry Potter rides, One puts you in box like a sardine and the other crushes your nards.

As for the overlay of Dueling Dragons, it is and always has been too shakey. I saved the worst for last, the hippogriff is the shortest crappiest ride in the world. Babies laugh at how bad it is.

Disney hasn't been setting the world on fire with AAs of late as well...they just spend a lot more on them. That's their thing...Comcast as of yet hasn't invested in those.

I love AAs...but nothing really new has been done with them In a while...I hear dak has one good new one...the last one they tried bombed.

I think disneys done a nice job with the projection mapping tech. But actual body of the AA wise? 100%, although I don't know how much more can be done

I think they have.

Say what you want about "7 Dwarves" and "Frozen", but they have great animatronics. They just don't turn on large flat screens in the morning. Universal keeps churning out the same crappy stuff. I don't even want to go on "Fast and Furious".

@Dfan79, please do not speak of such things here- that rubbish hath no place in this lovely Star Wars thread, that somehow turned into Harry Potter, then @lockedoutlogic's feats of love.

For what it's worth, most of what I like about Disney are the dark rides and the atmosphere/detail to the environment. Both of which I'd hope for out of future "lands" even though I think more people like the thrill-type attractions.

To try to drag y'all back to the main topic:

I would love to see a place where you can get a little customized astromech droid in the same way Pandora is selling those shoulder banshees. Or if they launched the overnight experience- having one as a guide of sorts. Like, it walks you to your room or something.

Another thing I would like to see is more of the history/universe of Star Wars captured in some way. I appreciate that the new movies seem to want to build on the unexplored details.

If I come on everyday to these kinds of boards and beg Disney to take my money you think they'll listen? I can definitely get friends to help...

ETA: take my money Disney! Take it!!!!

They already assume you'll give it...no matter what you say

The droid thing sounds pretty cool, as long as we're not buying it from a Jawa. Those little suckers can't be trusted at all. The droid will probably keel over before you get to your room.

I do think that they should have stuff from the old ones as well. The thing I'm not sure about is "Star Tours". How can there be a Star Wars ride so far away from a Star Wars Land? Weird.
