I have been to WDW twice in Sept., once during Oct. and once during Nov. Next year we are going June 11-20th (only time we could go because of the kids). I know the crowds are going to be significantly larger than what I have experienced before, but I wonder about the weather. When I look at charts that compare weather in Orlando for each month (like in the UOG or Weather channel), June & September are not that different. June is maybe 1 degree hotter on "average" or 1% higher in humidity "on average". But for those who live in Orlando or have gone during June & September, is it noticeably hotter in June than in September? As a side note, being from the Northwest, I found September to be very hot and humid for me, but I survived. And if I survived September, I hope I can survive June.:D

One Sept. trip was during hurricane Floyd, but looking back on it, that was nothing compared to Charley and now Frances. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you preparing for Frances. Be safe.

Sept.=hurricanes

June= No hurricanes

Actually the earlier you go in June the better the weather is, though they do get lots of rain. Most of the time that should be confined to brief afternoon showers. The end of June is very hot and humid. I think mid-month should be a little better.

We have been twice at the end of Sept and once in June (May 29-June 12) and it was equally hot and humid both months. But the crowds are lower in Sept--which is a big plus.

::yes:: I'd take heat any day over hurricanes. ::yes::

We're taking our first Sept. trip in a couple of weeks and wasn't too worried about hurricanes when we booked. Silly me!!

Is the end of September any different? I'm booked 23rd to the 29th. I never even thought about hurricanes. I'm a little freaked now. I feel so bad for the people there right now.

Not really. The hurricane season lasts til the end of November...although doesn't make too much sense to get worried. Nothing you can really do to change it. ;) This year has been above average for hurricanes, but maybe they will slow down after this one! Let's all hope!

June vs September weather comparison: HOT and HOT

Actually, in September you have a better chance of catching a cool front (by cool I mean highs in the low 80's) than you do in June - IMHO.

Don't mean to be so negative on June, but June, July, August, and most of September are usually uncomfortable to very uncomfortable in all parts of the Deep South during the day. When you add the crowds of June, that can really color the quality of your experience.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the replies and info.:D It actually helps me feel a little better about going in June. I remember thinking how hot & humid it was when we went in September, but like I said, I survived. So I am feeling a little better about surviving June. I know that crowds will be a lot worse in June, compared to September, but this is the only time we could go. I am trying to get organized and have somewhat of a plan ready. Also, we will be going back to the hotel in the afternoons to take a break.:smooth:

I'm starting to rethink our entire trip because of these awful hurricanes; we're supposed to go the last of September. Only problem is, DH can't get off work any other time until after the first of the year, then he's decided to go back to school of all things (he's already got 2 degrees), so it would be at least May before we could go, and I DON'T want to wait that long. Not to mention, we're on a package and we're inside our 45 days, which means cancellation fees, and airline fees unless there actually is a hurricane.........

Maybe I should just stick with what we have, and if we have to change it, I guess we just do. I hate not knowing, truly I do. I have control issues really bad.......
