Hello to All,

Living here in Celebration our favorite get away has always been to Vero, since it is both beautiful and close. Our family loves it there. I was thinking however that it might be time to make the drive to Hilton Head. And while I know I'd love it (it being disney and all!) will I love it as much as I love Vero? So for those that have been to both, what do you think?

thanks

We love HHI. I'm sorry I can't compare, I have never been to Vero. From what I understand Hilton Head is a little busier than Vero. The only thing I don't like about HHI is that the resort is not on the beach. This is a major drawback compared to Vero.

I used to read your blog, do you plan on updating it anymore? I love to read about Celebration.

We've been to both and love each one. Here's my take:

1. Vero is on the beach and that is a MAJOR plus for us. Driving from the resort to the beach at HHI was a bit of a bummer. We didn't go to the beach as much because of the drive.

2. Kids loved the slide and pool at both equally. They were both fun.

3. We like the local dining options at HHI. Lots of favorites in the immediate area. On the other hand, Vero has plenty of on-site dining. The pizza place next door was good too.

4. We liked the proximity of HHI to Savannah. We took a super fun day trip there while at HHI.

Hope that helps!

I will say that I love Both-but there is something special about HHI

It is a very relaxing vacation, but w/lots to do. HHI has many on site activities , as does Vero.
At HHI we love to ride the bikes all over including to the beach-the kids enjoy going down to the pier and fishing, we like the excursions from the resort as well-dolphin trip and beach combing activity-there is also something where you explore the marshes, We also walk to Shelter Cove restaurants, visit the lighthouse and of course we love saying" Piggly Wiggly"(local supermarket we rode bikes to) Although the property is not on the beach, having 2 pools and the beachhouse is a nice change from the main pool. The beach is beautiful-big and great for riding bike/walking.
At Vero I felt more confined to the resort for some reason, however, we love the kids activities-love being right on the beach. I thought the beach was a little small-but a nice beach. Vero itself is a beautiful area.
Both HHI and VB have campfire sing along.

I love having the choices and trying all of the DVC Homes-so I do not think you will be disappointed at HHI.

When going to the beach we want to stay beachfront. Vero gets this hands down . I would like to visit HHI in the fall for the non beach activites.
