I love long weekends. They provide the time for one to think and reflect.
And reflect.....I did.
I need to plan a vacay!!!
If not, then I need to read more TRs.
Anyone come back lately???
Me, me! I really must do some more work on my TR...
With the dollar in it's current state, and a larger mortgage to now pay off, that will likely have been our last Disney trip for quite a long time. All is not lost though - we've still got a few trips in planning
December - a week in Perth for Christmas (mainly visiting family, but we're thinking of spending a couple of days down south somewhere)
January - a weekend in Hobart for the Cadbury Half Marathon, we've got a buy one get one free deal with one of our Virgin credit cards. If we can also stay with family, it'll be a nice cheap getaway!
March - a week in Malaysia, 3 day national park trek in Borneo followed by a bit of luxury outside KL
Nothing... nothing...
November - 2 weeks in Vietnam. We're taking MIL and FIL for a surprise trip back (they went for their honeymoon 35 years ago!). SIL and her DH are coming too.
I was considering doing kind of an ongoing PTR for SE Asia.
We are going to the U.S. In February but at the moment that feels like a long way off. I need a holiday now. The long weekend just reinforced this.
Oooh February's a great time to go! Where are you going?
I'm still around, looking, reading, planning.
I think our up and coming trip will be our last Disney trip for a while, the $ is hurting and we haven't even gone yet...
I hear ya!
I'm here
8 weeks until we go, in panicked savings mode currently! Started planning 4 months ago and it's really crept up on me... How quickly time flies
Those last few months before a trip always go ridiculously quickly!
Yep, big time! We fly out of Perth on the 4th of December with Cathay Pacific, a few nights in Vegas before flying over to Orlando, a night at a budget hotel (Hampton Inn i think its called) when we arrive to shower and have a quick nap (We arrive at like 1am), with two days at Universal, staying at Hard Rock Hotel, then we check in on the 8th to Port Orleans Riverside, 11 nights there!
Who are u flying? And where r u staying?
Cathay are a great airline

Are you spending any time in HK on your way through?
I'm here... I'll be picking your brains soon about the USA national parks for 2017 trip!
A US national parks trip in 2017 sounds amazing!
I'm here! Slowly gearing up for December 2016. I've just been through and read all the Aussie Trip reports that Zanzibar compiled. Love having a long weekend combined with an RDO!
We are off on a quick trip to the Gold Coast next week for a week, then I'm heading to UK over xmas. When I come back it's going to be all about planning and saving for USA! Shame the dollar is so crappy. I'm considering buying some tickets and things now before it gets any worse. Anyone else doing that?
Lucky duck having a long weekend AND an RDO!
If we had another US trip planned, I'd probably consider locking some things in now to hedge my bets.
I'm here too. Always on the look out for a good fare. How I miss not being there. would really like to go before the 60th anniversary celebrations end.
You've got until next September
I'm here. Saving like crazy for Jan/feb trip. Just been told we have to move house. That's gonna hurt the savings big time
Yikes! Good luck with that!
I'm here. Planning my Japan trip for next year. I don't need to research much, but just like to see how everyone's going. It's hard being on here though when you haven't got a DIS trip coming up. Lucky for me, I do
I completely get that! Having said that, I think we've had enough of
Disneyland for a while - I know right

But seriously, everything is now Frozen, Star Wars or Avengers, none of which I like. It's getting busier and busier, entry prices are going through the roof, and I bet it won't be long before the chaos of FP+ hits the west coast too!
Still lurking! I'm currently working over at WDW doing the international program, and the last month or so there was an abundance of Aussie guests. It was wonderful to hear some accents from home. Heading to the West Coast for the Avengers half marathon in November - I'm so excited to see Disneyland in all it's 60th anniversary glory!
Wow that's awesome! I tried to get into that... *ahem*... many years ago and was not in the least bit successful.
September does seem to be pretty much the peak time for Aussies getting their Disney fix!
I'm here! We aren't going until 2017 - but like to said to DH, half the fun is in the planning lol. A lot has changed since I last went to WBW!
I agree! Sometimes just for fun I plan a pretend trip
You've got a lot to catch up on for WDW!
