Come on AP Rates!!!

With the rumors of new discounts coming out Monday, i really hope the AP rates hit on Sunday or even more rooms will get booked up with other deals.

We're hoping to change our current reservation at POFQ (at 40% off) to WL with an AP discount.

Why don't you move your current reservation to WL with 40% off? I guess my question is how much better than 40% can the AP rate be? Just curious.

with 149 (taxes in) per day with passes and dining at AS Sports....we are having a hard time thinking about an AP rate for AKL at perhaps $165 (plus tax...)....i think we are going to perhaps upgrade our tix on this trip with FD to AP's and stay at AS....we have relatives at AS so it will be great fun with all at the same place...

After we booked at POFQ with the pin to get 40% we realized we'd be able to afford WL. However when we called to change there were no rooms left to get with the PIN rate at WL. So now we need to hope for AP or people to cancel.

I discussed it w/ my husband and we decided that if we don't get AP rates in time, we will scrap this trip w/ mom and do a longer December trip instead.

I really want to do MNSSHP though...

Don't get me wrong...I'm happy it looks like we might get some deals for October next week, but if all the rumors are right and everything is released at once, the phones are going to be insane on Monday.

I'm eager for the fall AP rates to come out, too, so I can get a better deal. Although, I can remember, when they came out even later.

Personally, I don't know what to make of the rumor that discounted rates through much of 2011 might also be coming out soon. That's seems like way too much too soon. I think I will believe it when I see it, but on the other hand, it won't be the first time Disney has shocked me with some of their decisions. If so, I can't imagine the bedlum that will occur with the phone lines if they all come out on the same day.

I've been a passholder for years. But, there was one year that I did not renew because the benefits did not pay for my situation (the room discounts were just not there that year for passholders and I wasn't planning more than 2 trips then). If that happens, again, I would re-evaluate renewing until the benefits return. I don't think that will be the case, though.....If Disney is hurting, they should also need us passholders.

Hopefully, there will be something special in store for those of us who are passholders, regarding room rate discounts for Oct - Dec. If not, I have booked what I can handle at this time anyway and that's what I recommend people do. There are just no guarantees.

If you have an AP now, the Disney site under the passholder link would have them first. I would say here second.

Eventually, Mousesavers will have the info on the day announced, though. They won't be the first, though.

And, yes, I'm getting up around the crack of 5:45 AM our time, EI&Asmom!! But, that's only on days when I think there might be a good chance of the release, certainly not daily!

Unfortunately, we are getting our APs on our trip down in a couple weeks, so we can't access the AP website yet. Is there usually a 3 letter code you need to book like other offers? If I check here first thing, is it usually posted on the boards pretty early?

Or better yet, a text message would be great! Anyone...?

HLAuburn, I wish I could help you, but I am on the "left" coast. It would be 4am here. That's why I use a TA to do the early work! If you look back through this thread, though, there are people that are up extremely early most mornings checking. If you check here, I am sure you will find someone posting on it as soon as it is released. Good luck!
