Is it just me, or is anyone else a little annoyed that all the talk now is about 2011 deals coming out? I feel like Oct-Dec deals are being passed over and lumped in with all these new deals for next year.

Don't get me wrong...I'm happy it looks like we might get some deals for October next week, but if all the rumors are right and everything is released at once, the phones are going to be insane on Monday.

Just a little vent...

I'm feeling a renewed sense of hope with these rumors. It sounds like all of our waiting will be over.

Unfortunately, we are getting our APs on our trip down in a couple weeks, so we can't access the AP website yet. Is there usually a 3 letter code you need to book like other offers? If I check here first thing, is it usually posted on the boards pretty early?

Or better yet, a text message would be great! Anyone...?

Doesn't today's news seem to indicate that all the general public discounts are coming out tomorrow, not just AP discounts (in fact, it really doesn't mention specific AP discounts)? So, does everyone here think that tomorrow will just be AP discounts, with GP discounts on Tuesday, or everything all lumped together in one day?

I thought for sure AP rates would be today and then the rumored general discounts tomorrow. It doesn't seem right to release everything all at once, and it seems like AP deals normally come before the general deals. So now I'm worried about any AP deals at all.....

so basically apers are going to get screwed. anytime discounts have been released ap discounts have always come out at least a week before. if they are releasing general discounts and free dining tomorrow, we aren't going to be getting much. Let's hope they are wrong.

I really hope its AP rates (maybe FL rates) tomorrow followed by other rates Tues or Wed. I don't think there's been any mention of that, but it seems reasonable to give passholders a little bit of a "jump" on the rooms, right?

ATLDisneyfan, I see that this will be your first trip to the World for Christmas. You will have a wonderful time.

Now a general question for everyone else. If the rates are released tomorrow does that mean and 12:01 in the morning or at the opening of business hours? Now that the internet is so prevalent business hours are so vague.

If Disney releases these general discounts and not AP discounts, I think they will somewhat alienate their "bread-and-butter" people. From the sounds of it, they are just wanting the "extra" tickets from the general discounts, but this certainly won't make me want to get another AP!

I would imagine that it would all be available at the same time...Can we say phone system or website crash??? The ADRs are available online at 6am with phone opening at 7am, so it could be the same with the room discounts, too. I would just be ready early. I'm booked on a BB, so I'm not too concerned, but I did want to do away with the "extra" tickets that I don't need by switching to an AP package. Good Luck!

Are you sure all the discounted rooms are part of the same bucket/block? I mean I seem to recall being able to get a 42% off room using my AP when the same dates had "no availability" under the general public discount and vice versa. Just not sure they are all in the same bucket per se so if released at the same time it may not matter.

I do hope there is a slightly better rate though. The AP discount was one of the reasons I went with an AP originally.

Since we already have our APs...if the room-only discounts released tomorrow are for the general public, would you book a room under that discount (let's say it's 40% for deluxe) and just wait to see if AP discounts do come out at some point? Right now we've got the FD package, but that requires us to buy 2-day tickets.

Personally, if I can get a 40% off deluxe tomorrow, I'll jump on it. It won't be ideal for us, since I was planning on adding dining to an AP room rate, but if AP rates aren't announced with all the other deals, I'll be really worried that they may never be released.

Free dining is great for non-passholders, but since they now require 2 day passes, it really makes it hard to justify for passholders, unless you're staying for several days or maybe have a larger family with kids above 9, I guess.

Do these things ever show up on the website at the stroke of midnight, or is it usually some random time?

Will the AP discounts past 10-2, that we are all assuming to be coming (tomorrow???), be available online at the WDW site just as soon as they are available by calling? In other words, do we have to call or can we just book them ourselves online and not lose out???
