We are going with a very large group (40-50) There are some night serveral of us have reservations at the same place has anyone had luck with have seperate reservations seated together or nearby? I obviously know there is no guarantees just curious how this has worked for others. We have alot of reservations for 11 but had to split some up. (would never be more than 12 trying to eat at one place at one time with similar reservations)

My other question my 14yo neice has now decided to join us I have her added to most of our reservations but some I couldn't add her to and have made a separate 1 person reservation for the same time. Worse come to Worse my husband or I could Dine alone but what do you think the odds of them allowing in that situation to add the one person to the table who also has a reservation not just walking up and adding one person (though I may have to tempt that with two if I can't wind getting a 1 person ressie). Most of our dinings are for 3, 7, or 11 so it would always make it an even number to 4, 8, or 12. Of our 10 reservations I was able to get her added to 5 of them with our normal party. 3 I have made a separate 1 person reservation for the same time. 2 (Ohana and Cape May I haven't been able to get either yet). We are still 45 days out so I plan to keep trying to the singles online for the 2 and calling every couple of days to try to get the rest of them all as one.

They will always do their best to accommodate. The best thing is you have a reservation for all parties. Its being over the fire code count that can cause issues. I advise to get to your ressie early about 20 minutes and just let them know at the host stand. They will tell you your options. At times you may have to wait a little longer so that two large tables near each other open up.

I was thinking our definte best option was to atleast have a reservation for every person.

I traveled with a party of 11 and we were all seated together, but I had all of our ADR's except one as a big group. Our one separate reservation was for beaches and cream. I asked if we could be near each other. We had to wait a bit more (10-15 minutes), but they accommodated us. It doesn't hurt to ask and be patient! Have a fun trip!

For our big groups before my niece decided to join we had all of them together except two we had to break them into 5 and 6.

We have done multiple large family trips to WDW and at times had several adrs (up to four) for groups of up to 25 total. We would just give them at the podium of each specific restaurant all of our adrs and ask if there was any way we could sit together or nearby. Just about all did get us together or nearby if we didn't mind waiting a few minutes, which of course we didn't. It seems the larger restaurants (Ohana, Cape May Cafe) were much more accommodating. Even Narcossee's gave us two long tables of 10 each right next to each other. I agree with PP that #1 is to have an adr for everyone, even if there are multiple adrs. Those trips with our large groups were some of our best Disney memories! Good luck and enjoy.

Showing up with an extra should always be your very last resort, and attempted with the knowledge that they may not be seated.

Traveling with a large group the only place we were split up was for breakfast in the castle. And as tight as the seating is there, being right across the aisle was not that big of a deal.

We do large groups almost every time and need separate reservations. We most always get seated together up to a party of 16. Which really depends on the place and the size of their tables. Once at Cape May I couldn't get a table for 6 but I could get a 4 and two ones. We all were seated together. Just make sure everyone is there at check in - you should be fine and no one will have to eat alone. Enjoy!

All good to hear. I am down to just need one Ressie for Ohana right now I have managed to get a single one for all of the extras I could get added on to besides that one.

You can't get a single for Ohana because Ohana doesn't do single reservations. I did a solo trip and booked 180 days out. A table for one at Ohana does not exist. I wound up booking a table for 2 and telling them that I was alone when I got to the podium.

I definitely didn't know this. I changed my search to 2 and was able to get a better time for the 1 for Cape May still no luck with 'Ohana but hopefully this will help me snag one.

I would keep trying to make a bigger ADR. I snagged an 11 person ADR for Crystal Palace at 2am the day of the ADR ( I was awake and playing around with things.) I also got a 10 person ADR at Brown Derby an hour and a half before the ADR time. Just keep checking. :)
