Combined cash/points stay at non-DVC property ?

We will be at the Poly, and our first night will be cash, with the rest on points. Do you know what the procedure is for this type of reservation? Will we have to check in again? Change rooms? Anything special to be aware of? Thanks!!

We have done this in the past at AKL, and we will be doing it next month at YC.
At AKL they did not make us pack up and leave the room, however they did make us redo our keys and such at the front desk. They were unable to truly link the two reservations.
We did make them aware of this on day one, so the chances of us having to move were minimal.
We also had two different check-out statements.

Truth is that it wasn't a big deal, but it still could be made easier for the guest.

Thanks, MG! Good to have an idea of what to expect. I've done everything possible to link the cash/points ressies, but am not holding out too much hope of keeping the room, especially since we're trying to get my folks in an adjoining room when they arrive the next day. Oh well-- I'll send a fax a couple of days before and maybe that'll help. We shall see! Thanks again for the info!
