Colour coded baggage tags

We are doing two cruises next month: the five day special cruise on the Magic and a four night on the Wonder. We just got our cruise documents for the Wonder today. The baggage tags for the cruise have a lime green frame around them and the ones for the Wonder have a blue frame. I wonder if that is some kind of colour coding and if yes, what it stands for. Or do they just send out random colours?

I am going to take a guess (because I know what happens on other lines). The color code tells the baggage carriers which bin to put your luggage in to be delivered to your cabin.

So let's just say that all light green tags go to the light green bin, which goes to Deck 6 Aft (just an example)

So they divide up the luggage quickly which means it can be delivered to your cabin quickly.

I wondered if it was simply about location of the cabin, but then I came up with loads of other theories (colour coded by ship, transfers included or excluded, DVC points versus cash, first time versus repeat cruisers or even main versus late seating). There are so many variables between our two cruises so I figured I ask.

We are on the 5 night, and we also have lime green tags. We are on deck 7 ... how about you?

PS: I was born in Manchester, small world huh?

I just checked our tags from our last cruise on the Wonder and they were blue ... so maybe it's coded for the ship.

WE'll be traveling abord the wonder REAL soon. Aww man, I wanted lime green, you know for our DISers' colour, lol.

I am sure you won't miss the "beautiful" Manchester weather. I really love my adopted home town, but the weather stinks. I can count the days this summer where I could leave home without a jacket with the fingers of one hand.

We are on deck 2 on the double dip Magic and have the lime green too so it must be color coded by ship.

I was only 6 the last time I visited, but I have a very vivid memory of losing my way to school in the fog. We then moved to Australia, and I lived there till marrying my American husband. I think the weather here in Oregon is pretty much the same as Manchester ... guess I came full circle

I am driving my co-workers crazy at the moment by keep telling them were I will be two weeks from now! I am so longing for some sunshine.
