Yes, back then it was the thing to go to Seaside Heights, NJ for house parties since we were all underage. Spending a week crammed in a house with about 15 other girls, 6 of my group in one bedroom was enough to teach me this was not my thing, all sharing a single bathroom to get ready was a horrendous experience. The house party side of it was, however, a blast so my kids both went to senior week and one did Spring Break in Bahamas, I'm glad they have those experiences and memories. Not everyone who goes to these things is a mess & we had group rules about never separating from the pack, if someone met a person they were into they connect at a later time, zero exceptions or you never came out with us again, no-one left behind and no-one separates from the group, it kept us all safe.
I didn't have enough money to join a few female friends going to Daytona Beach and they came back saying it was absolutely disgusting in all kinds of ways, glad I didn't do that. People I was friends with weren't about hooking up, as a group of girls we were about wine coolers, flirting, dancing and laughing.
